春秋时期，吴王夫差灭掉越国之后更加得意忘形，他特别喜欢太宰伯憘拍马屁，大修姑苏台，杀了太师伍子胥，整天玩乐。一次叫术士公孙圣解梦，公孙圣说：“经常骑马的人往往会跌下来，大王不可好战。”夫差不听劝阻，反而杀了他。
