弃之可惜，食之无味的典故

公元217年，夏侯渊被刘备杀死，汉中失守。曹操率大军前去汉中，双方对峙几个月，曹军处境越来越不妙。一天晚上曹操吃饭发现汤中有鸡肋，随口说出“鸡肋”两字，被杨修误以为是退兵的意思。第二天曹操果然下令回师。
