人面桃花的典故

唐朝时有一位到京城应考的读书人，有一次他到城南郊外游玩，看到一间小屋很不错，就找借口走进去看看。没想到一看就看上了屋里一位美丽的姑娘。第二年清明节他又回到那间屋子，却看见大门锁着，人已经不知道搬到哪里去了，于是就提笔写了一首诗：“去年今日此门中，人面桃花相映红，人面不知何处去？桃花依旧笑春风。”然后就回去了。

过了几天，不死心的他又回到那个地方，这一次大门不但没深锁，还看见姑娘的父亲，姑娘的父亲伤心地告诉他说：“我女儿因为看了他写的诗因此得了相思病，没想到竟因此而死了。”他听了之后非常难过，情不自禁抱着姑娘大哭，没想到这时姑娘却醒了过来，原来她只是昏倒而已。不久后，身体渐渐痊愈的姑娘就和读书人结成了夫妻。
