东食西宿的典故

齐国有人有个女儿，有两家人来求婚。东家的男子长得丑但是很有钱，西家的男子长得俊美但是很穷。

父母犹豫不决，便征询女儿，要她自己决定愿意嫁给：“谁要是难于启齿，不便明说，就袒露一只胳膊的方式，让我们知道你的意思。”

女儿便袒露出两只胳膊。父母亲感到奇怪就问其原因。女儿说：“想在东家吃饭，在西家住宿。”

这就是所谓两袒啊！
