徙薪曲突的成语故事

基本解释搬开灶旁柴禾，将直的烟囱改成弯的。本指预防火灾。后亦比喻先采取措施，防患于未然。

出处《汉书·霍光传》：“人为徐生上书曰：‘臣闻客有过主人者，见其灶直突，傍有积薪，客谓主人，更为曲突，远徙其薪，不者且有火患。主人嘿然不应。俄而家果失火，邻里共救之，幸而得息……”

徙薪曲突的典故

从前有个人去拜访他的朋友，看见朋友家的烟囱竖在灶前，灶前还堆着不少干柴，就建议主人把烟囱改成弯曲的，把干柴移开。主人没有采纳。不久真的发生火灾，幸亏邻居及时救火。主人杀牛来谢这些邻居，邻居说该请的是那位提意见的人。
