壮士篇译文及注释
译文
天地在不停地运动变化，这种生生息息的过程是没有穷尽的。世间的人或物都遵从着宇宙间的生灭规律，都有自己的初始也有自己的终结。人的时光俯仰之间就已逝去，功名应该尽快建立并使之崇高。身为壮士而应该勇搏、激情满怀，怎能够安守所谓的虚无呢？乘上我那大宛产的良种战马，手按我那名为“繁弱”的大弓。手握我那可以横扫九野的长剑，头戴着高得快接天际的征战之冠。当慷慨走上战场的时候有天上的白虹壮气，有萧萧而起的清风送行。杀敌的吼声、鼓声惊骇着敌阵，奋勇向前的威势展示给周边的敌国。壮士既可横渡河海，也可驰骋于大漠。壮士独步于圣明之世，四海之内都称其为英雄。
注释
回薄：指天地生生息息，不停运动的过程。
禀常格：遵从宇宙间的自然规律。
速崇：指功名应该尽快建立并使之崇高。
虚冲：守于虚无。
繁弱弓：名为“繁弱”的大弓。
八荒：也叫八方，指东、西、南、北、东南、东北、西南、西北八个方向，指离中原极远的地方。后泛指周围、各地。
四戎：指周边的敌国。
濯鳞：这里代指壮士。
壮士篇鉴赏
这是一首乐府诗，题旨大概是由阮籍《咏怀·壮士何慷慨》来的，那首诗道：“壮士何慷慨，志欲威八荒。驱车远行役，受命念自忘。良弓挟乌号，明甲有精光。临难不顾生，身死魂飞扬。……”阮籍这首诗在他的《咏怀》中可谓别调，写得也很慷慨激昂，但它表现的功业心主要是从“效命”、“气节”着眼的，而张华此篇虽然也有这方面的意思，但主要是从人生意义、生命价值这些认识出发，显得比较深切，更能予人们以激励。这是思想上的不同。阮籍的作品是古诗，显得简约朴素，而张华此篇则较铺张，也比较重修辞，“乘我大宛马”以下十句全是对偶，这不仅显出乐府体与古诗的差别，也显出西晋之后的诗歌比“正始之音”更注重形式美了。

张华（232年－300年），字茂先。范阳方城（今河北固安）人。西晋时期政治家、文学家、藏书家。西汉留侯张良的十六世孙，唐朝名相张九龄的十四世祖。张华工于诗赋，词藻华丽。编纂有中国第一部博物学著作《博物志》。《隋书·经籍志》有《张华集》十卷，已佚，明人张溥辑有《张茂先集》。张华雅爱书籍，精通目录学，曾与荀勖等人依照刘向《别录》整理典籍。《宣和书谱》载有其草书《得书帖》及行书《闻时帖》。
