天地译文及注释
译文
希望天地的神灵都赐福，因为皇帝敬慕他们。皇帝兴建了紫色的坛宇作为专门祭神的场所，想找寻与神相通的办法。皇帝专心一意、恭敬地继承前代祭祀天地的重任，使神灵和乐。把刺绣品画成黑白相间的斧形图案，遍挂于祭坛之上，用隆重的仪式来承奉至尊的神灵。把六十四个童子排成八行八列跳舞以娱乐天神太一。音乐一起响起，琴、竽、瑟、美玉做成的磬和金鼓并陈杂奏，希望神灵能够得到娱乐，百官济济，都恭敬地向神灵祭祀。他们恭敬地献上丰盛的牺牲和供品，又焚烧香草和动物脂油以请神下降受享。神留下受享，虽然历时很久，但从天上看来，那只是片刻。只见神鸟在前面发出光芒，神赏赐皇帝以寒暑准时不失，阴阳和顺，以彰显君主的德行。朗诵的诗歌合于音律发出玉器般的鸣声，音乐中具备了五个音阶——宫、商、角、徵、羽。这美妙的音声达到远处，使凤鸟飞翔，神灵久留足以享用这些祭祀。

况：赏赐。
予：皇帝自称。
爰熙：爰，发语词。熙，兴建。
厥路：这里指与神相通的路。
禋祀（yīn sì）：专心一意地祭祀天地。
缊：阴阳和同相互辅助的样子。
黼（fǔ）绣：黑白相间，画成斧形的刺绣品。
八溢：即“八佾”。古代天子祭神和祖先，用八行八列共六十四人来表演舞蹈。
泰一：又叫太一，是天神中的至尊者。⑩轩朱：两个人名。轩是皇帝轩辕。朱指朱襄氏。璆磬（qiú qìnɡ）：指用美玉做的磬。璆，美玉。盛牲：指献上丰盛的牺牲和供品，又焚烧香草和动物脂油以请神下降受享。奄留：通“淹留”，停留的意思。长丽：传说中的一种神鸟。不忒：不出差错。鋗（xuān）：鸣玉声。发梁：指声音好听，歌声绕梁。条：到，达到。
天地鉴赏
古代都有祭祀天地神明及祖先的乐曲。自汉武帝诏制《郊祀歌》开始，以后历代帝王都有改作。《天地》是祭祀天地的诗。此首选录的是汉武帝的歌辞。

汉武帝刘彻（公元前156年－前87年），西汉的第7位皇帝，杰出的政治家、战略家、诗人。刘彻开拓汉朝最大版图，在各个领域均有建树，汉武盛世是中国历史上的三大盛世之一。晚年穷兵黩武，又造成了巫蛊之祸，征和四年刘彻下罪己诏。公元前87年刘彻崩于五柞宫，享年70岁，谥号孝武皇帝，庙号世宗，葬于茂陵。
