火山高高耸立在赤亭口，五月的火山上空火云厚。
火云铺山盖岭凝滞不开，方圆千里鸟儿不敢飞来。
火云清晨刚被胡风吹断，到傍晚又随着塞雨转回。
回环缭绕吞没了铁关树，蒸腾弥漫半掩了交河戍。
你迢迢征途在那火山东，山上孤云将随你向东去。
注释
火山：指火焰山，在今新疆，横亘于吐鲁番盆地的北部，西起吐鲁番，东至鄯善县境内，全长160公里，火焰山主要为红砂岩构成，在夏季炎热的阳光照耀下，红色砂岩熠发光，犹如阵阵烈焰升腾，故名火焰山。
突兀：高耸的样子。赤亭：即今火焰山的胜金口，在今鄯善县七克台镇境内，为鄯善到吐鲁番的交通要道。
火云：炽热的赤色云。
乍：突然。逐：随着。胡风：西域边地的风。
薄暮：接近天黑时。浑：还是。
缭绕：回环旋转的样子。铁关：铁门关，故址在新疆境内。
氛氲：浓厚茂盛的样子。交河：地名，在今新疆境内。戍：戍楼。

火山云歌送别鉴赏
这首诗载于《全唐诗》卷一百九十九，是一首送别之作。在这首诗中，“云”是诗人歌咏的对象，也是贯穿全诗的线索。
“火山”二字首先刺激人的审美欲望，把人的注意力拉引到辽远壮阔的塞外。此诗前四句连贯而下，以让人目不暇接的速度把火山火云推到人们面前。一二句都以“火山”开头，第三句以“火云”起始承接第二句尾，三句中凡四次出现“火”字，描写的笔锋在“山”“云”上腾挪，让人感到诗人在这种奇异的现象面前兴奋不已。“满山凝未开”从正面具体展现火山云的外观，主体感强。“飞鸟千里不敢来”紧接着从侧面渲染这外观的奇异可惧。火山云的形象便鲜明突出。夸张中已为下文送人经过火山做了铺垫。
前四句是大笔勾勒，目的在于让人得到火山云的总体印象。次四句笔锋一顿，转写火山云的动态。“平明乍逐胡风断，薄暮浑随塞雨回”，说这些火山云早上刚被风吹散，傍晚又随雨重新聚集起来。同“满山凝未开”的厚重浓浊相比，这种动态的云轻盈灵巧多了。“缭绕斜吞铁关树，氛氲半掩交河戍”两句互文，描写火山云远“侵”近“略”的威力。“斜”“半”分别点出火山云与铁关、交河戍的关系，从空间位置上烘托“吞”“掩”的气势。
既有静态的描摹，又有动态的刻画；既有时间的纵向变化，又有空间的横向展开。对火山云的描写便可告一段落，结尾二句自然归结到送别上来。第九句“火山”二字轻轻收束前八句，使得对火山云的描写实际上成了描写送别的环境背景，路途遥遥，行路艰难，——对行人的关怀之情全部包括在“迢迢”二字之中。最后一句不出现人，孤云独马的意象却让人想见军士塞外相别的独特场景，以及军人的骁勇剽悍。
诗人曾两次出塞，边疆的风沙草石和火山冰雪磨砺了他的意志，军中生活的粗犷豪迈锤炼了他的性格，所以他能临别不伤，通过歌咏塞外特有的奇丽不凡的景色为对方壮行。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
