译文
蝴蝶轻轻扑打着室内的卧帐，卧帐里散发着春天的温热气息。床前一幅华贵的龟甲屏风，床上搭着她那美丽的彩衣。
年轻的丈夫长期出门在外，就像蝴蝶一样到处飘飞。正在今日这个时候，他骑着白马回到自己家里。
注释
杨花：指柳絮。唐李白《闻王昌龄左迁龙标遥有此寄》诗：“杨花落尽子规啼，闻道龙标过五溪。”春云：双关语，既指成阵的杨花，又指少妇思夫的春情。
龟甲屏风：玉制或玉饰的屏风。因其花纹似龟甲纹路，故名。《初学记》卷二五引汉郭宪《洞冥记》：“上起神明台，上有金床象席，杂玉为龟甲屏风。”醉眼缬（xié）：指网眼细的、有花纹的彩色丝织品。这里指女子身上的衣服。缬，原是古时织物的一种印染方法，这里指华美的彩带或彩色衣裳，形容闺中少妇衣着的华丽。
蝴蝶飞：古人认为蝴蝶飞是喜事，如果它忽然入宅舍，“主行人即返”（吴曾《能改斋漫录》）。
白骑（jì）少年：骑白马的少年。

蝴蝶飞创作背景
这首《蝴蝶飞》即为表现女子闺情的作品。此诗当作于唐宪宗元和前期（806—815年），而具体的创作年份难以考证。无论是朱自清的《李贺年谱》，还是钱仲联的《李贺年谱会笺》，都没有写出此诗系年。

蝴蝶飞鉴赏
表面看来，这首诗一句写窗外，一句写窗内，一句写所见，一句写所想，简单直白，似乎无甚可赏。其实颇有可品味寻觅处。
早春二月，已是暖意融融，仲春季节，百花正待开放，却唯见成阵的杨花如春云般荡漾。开篇吟咏，就给人带来一种中心无主，寂寞无依之感，而飘荡的杨花又偏偏涌起阵阵热浪直袭闺中帐前，惊扰、触动了诗中主人公的心绪，这样就非常自然地从窗外化入窗内，把女主人公的活动场景展现出来。“龟甲屏风”，指用杂色玉石拼镶成龟壳纹路的屏风，这里以点概面，在描绘室内华丽装饰时，暗示了这位女主人公的身份，却又不一语道尽，给人留下了想象的余地。再以“醉眼缬”喻全人。醉眼，描绘闺中少妇醉眼迷离，娇态可掬。诗人在这里用“醉眼缬”三字刻画这位衣着华丽的闺中少妇春情缱绻，无计自适，故而浮白以遣穷绪，盛妆以求慰藉，与“闺中少妇不知愁，春日凝妆上翠楼”意思相似，只是在表现上更为委婉而隐含。华美的衣着反衬出内心的空虚、惆怅，女为悦己者容，然悦己者不在眼前。迷离的醉态可见得感情的寂寞、孤独，闺中独处无伴，无人可与对饮。这位少妇既无意于社燕归来春已浓，也无意于闲将诗草临窗读，个中缘由自然引发读者的关切和猜想。而其中的消息，是从三、四两句中隐隐透出的。
“东家蝴蝶西家飞，白骑少年今日归。”彩蝶纷飞，出现在诗人们的笔下总是会引起人们对一份人间美好情意的憧憬和追求，双飞的蝴蝶又往往象征了情人间的依依相恋、两心相许，是人间感情的净化和升华。但这一切，对寂寞闺中人来说，引起的却是一种完全相反的心态活动。她已无法如彩蝶般双飞，自由而又无所羁，不禁怨恨双飞的蝴蝶偏在她独处空闺时翩翩起舞，进而想到是谁使她独守空闺由羡虫蝶双飞而怨彩蝶双飞。恨、爱、哀、怨一齐引向那个使她空虚惆怅、寂寞孤独的白骑少年。“白骑少年今日归”是爱情的期盼。殷殷的希望、浓浓的情愫、冷冷的失意，一起袭向这位闺中独处的少妇，而以杨花成阵直扑帐前领起，惊扰了闺中人，触动了芳心，撩乱起一种寻寻觅觅、冷冷清清的思绪，尽在这不用典、不深奥、看似简单直白的二十八字中。
李长吉“天才奇旷，又深于南北朝乐府古调，得其怨郁博艳之趣，故能镂剔异藻，成此变声”（胡震亨《唐音癸签》卷七）。他的诗常常营造出一种使人恍如进入珠宫贝阙之中，置身七宝楼台之内，让人目不暇接的境界；又喜用“鬼”字、“泣”字、“死”字、“血”字，故又被后人称为“鬼才”，“鬼仙之词”。但这首《蝴蝶飞》却一反他的奇幻瑰诡而写得温婉清丽。诗人写杨花飞舞、龟屏富丽，并把神情倦怠，心中寂寞，懒出闺门一步的少妇均隐在这一动一静中，笔墨不多，凝静而传神；写蝴蝶飞舞，少年当归，又融情于景，浓而不艳，从中可看出诗人李贺诗风和情感的另一面。

李贺（约公元791年-约817年），字长吉，汉族，唐代河南福昌（今河南洛阳宜阳县）人，家居福昌昌谷，后世称李昌谷，是唐宗室郑王李亮后裔。有“诗鬼”之称，是与“诗圣”杜甫、“诗仙”李白、“诗佛”王维相齐名的唐代著名诗人。著有《昌谷集》。李贺是中唐的浪漫主义诗人，与李白、李商隐称为唐代三李。有“‘太白仙才，长吉鬼才’之说。李贺是继屈原、李白之后，中国文学史上又一位颇享盛誉的浪漫主义诗人。李贺长期的抑郁感伤，焦思苦吟的生活方式，元和八年（813年）因病辞去奉礼郎回昌谷，27岁英年早逝。
