译文
夕阳西下，渔人收起鱼竿准备回家。连秋风都是温柔的，不肯让荷花凋谢了。烟水蒙蒙，渔人悠闲自得，听短笛的旋律，被秋风吹进芦花荡的深处。
注释
渔父：词牌名，又称《渔歌子》《渔父乐》等，此调分为单、双调，又各有不同的体格。此词为单调中之一体，五句，二十七字，除第三句外，通押平声韵。
纶（lún）竿：钓竿。落照：即夕阳。
宁（nìng）：犹乃。芙蓉：荷花。剪：作吹动解。
“吹入”句：谓悠扬的短笛声飘入芦花丛中。
渔父·收却纶竿落照红创作背景
词为题画之作，赵秀亭等以为作于康熙十八年（1679年）。徐轨（1636—1708年）于康熙十四年（1675年）作《枫江渔父图》，康熙十七年（1677年）携图入京，后名流多有题咏。此即其一。

渔父·收却纶竿落照红鉴赏
这首词犹如一幅恬淡的水墨风俗画。
开篇描绘晚霞烂漫，渔人悠然收竿的场景。“收却纶竿落照红”，纳兰一贯钟情的白描手法在此一显无余，夕阳西斜、晚霞烂漫，渔人悠然收竿，首句铺展在读者面前的，就是这样一幅场景。“收却”二字用在全词的开头，别有一番意味。从字面上看，“收却”与“落照红”是同时发生的动作，而纵览全词，则可体味出这两者其实有着暗示的因果关系，即因“落照红”而“收却纶竿”，无须多言，便道出了黄昏中渔人逍遥自得，不假他求，这种自由自在的情绪，为整篇作品奠定了基调，又与下句的描述前后呼应。“秋风宁为剪芙蓉”承接上句，由落照的色彩写到秋风的声响，由人之主体写到荷花之喻体，仍然是从细节着手，以拟人的手法，描述飒飒秋风之凉意吹飘，不求他物，只为了能轻轻地摆动水中那一簇簇绝美的荷花。此处着一“宁”字，赋予了秋风人的性情与品格，出奇地于平和中凸现词人强烈的感情。勾勒完风物，“人淡淡，水蒙蒙，吹入芦花短笛中”一句抛出一个空远淡漠的远景，人影稀，烟水蒙，笛音轻，纳兰将他的山泽鱼鸟之思寄托于词中，点明主旨，道出了渔人悠然自得，逍遥自在的情趣。
夕阳西斜、晚霞烂漫，飒飒秋风，烟雾蒙蒙，时人称纳兰题画诗词有种“烟水迷离”之感，从这首小令的诗情画境中也可见一斑。全词格高韵远，极缠绵婉约之致。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
