译文
你守边有功，塞垣年年平安无事。你能不战而屈人之兵，有“决胜尊俎之间”的才能。你使金陵城防固若金汤，呈现出一派新气象，且谈笑风生，言如珠玉。春天就要到了，梅花有衰老的时候，而人并不像梅花那样易老。
尽情饮酒吧，你很快便会应诏入朝。你是治国之才，在江东地方千里，难以施展才华。回到朝廷，运筹帷幄，整顿乾坤，收复中原地区，把国家治理好。这样你将和唐代郭子仪一样，从今至老，永为贤相，千古流芳。
注释
千秋岁：词牌名，又名“千秋节”。宋人创调，见秦观《淮海词》。
金陵：即今江苏南京。史致道：名正志，江苏扬州人。宋高宗绍兴二十一年（1151）进士。曾上《恢复要览》五篇，并建议“无事都钱塘，有事幸建康”。时任建康留守、建康知府兼沿江水军制置使。
英雄表：英雄气概。
霏（fēi），散。
得似：怎似。
尊：同“樽”，古代盛酒器具。
凤诏：指皇帝的诏书。
帷幄：指决策处。
中书考：用唐郭子仪事。中书，即中书令，指宰相。唐以中书、尚书、门下为三省，其令长俱为宰相。

千秋岁·为金陵史致道留守寿创作背景
此词当作于宋孝宗乾道五年（1169年）十二月辛弃疾建康通判任上。时任建康留守、建康知府兼沿江水军制置使的史致道即将离任，辛弃疾为他祝寿。

千秋岁·为金陵史致道留守寿鉴赏
《千秋岁·为金陵史致道留守寿》是一首寿词。其思路与寿韩南涧词相近，大致是赞颂寿主的事功，寄托词人的爱国情思。
词的上片写史致道的事功与谈吐。在中国古代，每逢秋高马肥的季节，北方外族统治者往往侵扰汉族地区，宋代也是如此。“塞垣”二句从此出发，写史致道守边有功，塞垣年年平安无事。这两句紧扣当时社会的主要矛盾，突出地描叙了史致道的功业。塞垣“平安好”。这同史致道的非凡才能有极大关系。《战国策·齐策》说，一个有才华的人，能使“千丈之城，拔之尊俎之间；百尺之冲，折之桩席之上”，徐陵《九锡文》也说：“决胜尊俎之间。”“尊俎”二句，运用上述典故，写史致道能不战而屈人之兵，有“决胜尊俎之间”才能，从而揭示出塞垣平安的原因。作为一路的主帅，史致道不仅在对敌斗争中取得显著成绩，在内政方面也表现不俗。故接下去二句先写兴建“镇淮”、“饮虹”二桥，使金陵城防固若金汤，呈现出一派新气象。而“珠玉霏谈笑”，实为“谈笑霏珠玉”的倒装，谓其谈笑风生，言如珠玉，也给人留下深刻印象。“春近也”二句以梅衬人，言梅有哀时．而人并不像梅那样易老，用婉转手法，表达出祝君长寿之意。
词的下片写对史致道的期望，祝史致道出将入相，整顿乾坤，建功立业。“莫惜”句劝其尽情饮酒，再表祝寿之意。“看看”有转眼之间的意思。“风诏看看到”，言其很快便会应诏入朝，担当大任。“留不住”二句则反用《史记·项羽本纪》中“江东虽小，地方千里”之意，谓史致道为治国之才，江东地方千里，难以施展其才华。从容，言举动舒缓，具体到为政而言，是说宽不失制，动不失和，处理问题得当。故“从容”二句是说，史致道回到朝廷，运筹帷幄之中，决胜千里之外，整顿乾坤，收复中原地区，把国家治理好。“千百”二句是说，那样的话，史致道将和唐代郭子仪一样，从今至老，永为贤相，千古流芳。史致道的治绩、才能如何，史无明言，词人对其是否过誉或谀佞，也应引起注意。
此词语美词工，格调恢宏，字里行间，不仅赞颂了寿主的功绩，还热切期望将领们挥军北伐，净扫强虏，恢复河山。这也是众多爱国志士们的共同心愿。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
