译文
地、水、风、火从来都是所在充满的，这里风水绝佳，又有什么可疑的呢！这是故意让我写诗赞美的吧。各种幽雅的花香气四溢，飘到了整个山涧、山谷之中，潭中秋天的水草似乎在随风起舞，水面上漾起细小而成圈的波纹。
洞中清美的泉水要是借给卢仝泡茶喝，他一定会觉得两腋习习生风，有飘飘欲仙之感，这样，恐怕他连天仙都不会恋慕了。还烦请流水把我送回家。高峰上只剩下将要落山的太阳，草丛中的露水已经沾湿了我的衣裳。
注释
临江仙：词牌名。唐教坊曲。原用以歌咏水仙，故名。又名《雁儿归》、《瑞鹤仙令》等。双调小令，平韵格。
风水洞：《诗集》王文诰注引《杭州图经》：“洞去钱塘县旧治五十里，在杨村慈岩院。洞极大，流水不竭，洞顶又有一洞，清风微出，故名曰风水洞。”
四大：佛教以地、水、火、风为四大。认为此四者广大，能产生出一切事物和道理。
寒藻：指秋天的水藻。沦漪（户衣）：《诗经·魏风·伐檀》：“坎坎伐轮兮，置之河之漘（chún）兮，河水清且沦漪。”沦，细小而成圈的水纹。漪，语气词。
玉川：唐诗人卢仝（tóng），号玉川子。两腋：.两边胳肢窝。卢全《走笔谢孟谏议寄新茶》诗云：“一碗喉吻润，两碗破孤闷。三碗搜枯肠，唯有文字五千卷。四碗发轻汗，平生不平事，尽向毛孔散。五碗肌骨清，六碗通仙灵。七碗吃不得也，唯觉两腋习习清风生。”

临江仙·风水洞作创作背景
宋神宗熙宁六年（1073年）八月，苏轼游风水洞，被风水洞的美景所吸引，作该词描叙游览的经历和感受。

临江仙·风水洞作鉴赏
上片着重写风水洞中清美的境界。开头两句紧扣题目中“风水”二字落笔，以议论领起全词：“四大从来都遍满，此间风水何疑!”这是用佛家的眼光观照自然，是对“风水洞”之所以得名的一种诠释。毫无疑问，这是词人接受了佛家宇宙观的一种体现。词人仿佛接触到了“源头活水”由此获得了创作的灵感：“故应为我发新诗。”而后着力写词人在风水洞发现的别具美感的景物：“幽花香涧谷，寒藻舞沦漪。”这两句扣住了风水洞“流水不竭”、“清风微出”的特点，结合着词人的视觉感受和嗅觉感受，写出了一个藏娇蕴秀、清美绝人的境界，多少也带有“妄意觅桃源”（《风水洞二首和李节推》诗）的思想倾向。
下片自抒所感，并写出出洞后所见。“借与玉川生两腋，天仙未必相思。”这两句是想象，是夸张，实际上表达了对风水洞中“水”的极度赞赏，又很有幽默感。以下转到写出洞归来。“还凭流水送人归”一句，承上转下，点出一个“归”字，而且运用拟人手法，把“流水”以至风水洞都写得富有人情味，词人此行的满足和快乐也就见于言外了。篇末两句承上“归”字，写归途中的景物“层巅余落日，草露已衣。”词人通过景物描写，表明己到了傍晚时分，词人白天在风水洞逗留的时间之长，就可想而知了。倘若仔细品味，夕露“沾衣”的话兴许还另有一层深意在。陶渊明在《归园田居五首》之三中描写了自得其乐的劳动生活，后半首写道：“道狭草木长，夕露沾我衣。衣沾不足惜，但使愿无违。”该词在模山范水与纪游之外，还隐隐流露出超脱的审美趣味以及对人生自由境界的追求。
全词由游览而至生出归田园的意向，结尾处意蕴深厚，既是情绪流程的归宿，也是词人的终生追求。写景、抒情、议论都是诗歌创作中常见的表现方法，该词将写景、抒情、议论结合了起来，也可以说是词的诗化的一个具体表现。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
