译文
昨晚我乘着一条小船航行在江上，天下起雨来，我披上蓑衣，在船上尽情瞭望。一夜来，风急浪高，我在舱中默默地思念，外面的景色究竟变得怎样？
今天天一亮，我赶紧卷起船篷仔细观看，原来一点没改，那青山，那绿树，还是郁郁苍苍。
两岸层叠的山峦绿树重重，一派青苍；春天秀丽的山峰无比寂静，绿水也静静地流淌。
一只小船冲破了烟波驶去，它要驶向何方？传来阵阵杜鹃啼鸣，在两岸的山中回荡。
注释
⑴水口：在福建邵武东南，古称闽关，宋置水口寨。位于古田溪汇入闽江处，居水陆交通要道。
⑵扁舟：小船。雨一蓑：穿着蓑衣站在雨中。
⑶夜如何：一夜的风浪不知要造成怎样的后果。如何，怎样。
⑷试：尝试。卷（juǎn）：翻开。
⑸”绿树多“一作”绿水多“
⑹层峦：重叠的山岭。
⑺棹：划船的桨。这里代指小船。
⑻鶗鴃：即杜鹃。在春暮始鸣，初夏而止，声如“不如归去”。

水口行舟二首创作背景
南宋庆元元年韩胄擅权，斥“道学” 为“伪学”，右丞相赵汝愚被罢职。庆元二年（1196年）朱熹被削职。韩胄党羽胡、沈继祖诬告朱熹“资本四邪”等六大罪，“请加少正卯之诛”。庆元三年赵汝愚、朱熹等五十九人被列入“伪学党”，通缉在案。就在政局动荡、学禁最严峻之时，朱熹和他的学生黄千林用中等从闽北乘船南下古田，这首诗就是抵达水口，感时之作。

水口行舟二首鉴赏
宋代理学家的诗，往往纯粹说理，陈腐可厌，用语则俚俗不堪，常被后世攻讦。朱熹的诗，虽然也讲理，但经常能寄情于景，寓理于趣，清巧绵密，令人喜爱。这两首小诗，写乘舟在江中航行时的所见所思，第一首直书感受，富有生活理趣；第二首着意渲染山水，寄托坦荡胸怀，都是宋人绝句的成功之作。
第一首诗，重点在表现清晨醒来时的瞬间感想。起笔从未睡前写起。诗人乘着一只小船，航行在江中，晚上，下起了雨，他仍然披着蓑衣，站在船头，观望着夜景。船儿顶风冒雨前进着，天黑，什么也见不着了，他回到船舱睡，倾听着外面的风浪声，浮想联翩。前两句虽是直写经过，但颇多转折。“雨一蓑”，很鲜明地描绘出船在雨中行走时诗人的形态，大有唐张志和“青箬笠，绿蓑衣，斜风细雨不须归”（《渔歌子》）及苏轼“一蓑烟雨任平生”（《定风波》）的潇洒，反映出诗人随境而安，襟怀大度。同时，诗人晚上冒雨眺望，表现出对山水的迷恋，白天的景色之美也就不言而喻了。次句写满江风浪，换个角度，改用揣测语气。又以“夜如何”之“夜”与上“昨夜”之“夜”有意相重，可见诗人这时已不在船头，已经进舱睡觉。他在舱中，耳听风浪之声，因而发出这样的疑问；通过这一问，又点出入睡后风浪又加大了许多。三、四句说自己清晨醒来，赶快卷起篷窗往外看，见到两岸景色原来和昨天一样，依然满目是青山绿树。这两句承“夜如何”而来，看似不接，实际上接得很巧。“夜如何”包蕴着很广泛的意思，其中最主要的是：想知道这一夜的大风大雨，是否使昨天所见的秀丽景色改变了呢？所以诗接写醒来就忙忙地卷篷要看个究竟。这样一蓄势，答案出来后，我们更能体会到他见到青山无恙，绿树常青后的欣喜。这一心情，从“依旧”二字强烈地表现了出来。同时，“青山绿树多”又遥呼首句他冒雨赏春的迷恋之感。
诗写的是生活中的一件小事，常年旅行在外的人都有过这样的体会，所以容易引起人们的共鸣。从诗人对风雨的坦然及对青山绿树经历风雨而依旧的赞叹，我们还可以寻绎出诗人所发挥的哲理：禁得起风吹雨打的人处变不惊，禁得起考验的人精神不磨，勇气常存，就如眼前的青山绿树一样。
第二首写青山绿水，小舟啼鹃，是第一首的延续。诗人在上首着重表现对青山绿树的赏鉴依恋之情，这首便从两岸青山切入。第一句描绘山的青，峰峦重叠，生机勃勃。“郁郁”二字写树，但只通过树阴的浓郁来表达树的茂密，避免了质直的描写。次句承上句“层峦”而来，引出江水，表明自己是乘舟在水中航行，写得很轻灵。“去无声”三字很值得玩味一番。首先使人想到舟船航行在水中悄无声息，又使人想到江水平静地流淌，悄无声息，还使人想到两岸的群山密林，也都悄无声息，诗人便被这寂静的世界所深深地陶醉了。通过前两句，呈现了一派和穆恬淡的世界，与第一首所写的满江风浪、漫天雨丝成鲜明对比，使人有置身画中的感觉，分外赏心悦目。
下半以问句作过渡，导景入情，接得很密，转得很稳。诗人面对着青山绿水，赏玩不尽，忽然一只小船闯入他的视线，冲破濛濛烟水，飘然远飏，打破了眼前的岑寂。这船引发了他的遐想，他不禁设问：那是谁的船？它要往何方？从这一问中，我们可以体会到，诗人已由对景物的热爱，转而羡慕起住在这里的人，从而勾起了他的羁旅情怀。由此，诗在末尾抒情，但竭力荡开，纯用景语作暗示，说两面山中传来了阵阵杜鹃的啼声。这样的表达十分含蓄，杜鹃的叫声是“不如归去”，他写杜鹃啼鸣，正是寄托自己离乡背井的愁思，但出语仍是那么的清绝，令人击节。
全诗前后两半的对比色彩很明显，前两句写静，山水寂寞，绿树葱翠；后两句写动，小舟冲破烟波，杜鹃应答酬和。这样描写景色，正隐示了诗人心情从恬静到激动的过程，使诗不是如一般的写景诗单独地停留在写景上。朱熹的诗就是如此，凡要表现一个内容，总要捎带上一些该内容以外的东西，同时往往又不肯明白地说出来。

朱熹（1130年9月15日～1200年4月23日），行五十二，小名沋郎，小字季延，字元晦，一字仲晦，号晦庵，晚称晦翁，又称紫阳先生、考亭先生、沧州病叟、云谷老人、沧洲病叟、逆翁。谥文，又称朱文公。汉族，祖籍南宋江南东路徽州府婺源县（今江西省婺源），出生于南剑州尤溪（今属福建三明市）。南宋著名的理学家、思想家、哲学家、教育家、诗人、闽学派的代表人物，世称朱子，是孔子、孟子以来最杰出的弘扬儒学的大师。
