译文
亭前小沟东临长江，柳岸苇堤一望无际，安静的村庄只有卖鱼卖柴的人在早上作生意时才喧闹一阵子。整天安居无事，光阴白白度过，什么事也未作成。不过，莼菜、白藕、珍米、锦鲤等食物，年复一年地离开不了。
想和旧友痛饮如浮丘在瑶池般的生活，歌妓舞女穿着仙女般飘柔的衣，轻歌曼舞于仙境。飘落到了人间，再也听不到道士诵经之声，只好过着风露交加的生活。我抱着一张白色的琴，独自一人面对月宫弹奏；否则，对君思念之情是难以寄托的。
注释
哄：一阵喧闹。
永昼：白天。端居：谓平常居处，安居。
丝莼（chún）：湖水植物，可作菜。
珠粳：贵重粳米。
浮丘：浮丘公，古仙人名。
惯：习惯于。瑶池：西方仙境。
羽觞（shāng）：酒器，酒盏。用形似羽（鸟）、觞（兽）作，故名。沈：即“沉”。
青鸾（luán）：女子，这里指歌妓舞女。
铢（zhū）衣：轻衣。古代二十四铢为两，这里极言衣轻。摇曳：飘荡。
壶中天地：仙境之一。
飘堕：飘落。
步虚声：道士唱经礼赞声。露寒风细：喻指贫寒生活。
银蟾：传说中的月亮。

水龙吟·小沟东接长江创作背景
这首《水龙吟》作于宋神宗元丰五年（1082年）正月。词中所写地势、景色、处境与情怀等所体现的词意与《水龙吟·小舟横截春江》的类同，很可能是寄赠闾丘孝终太守的。

水龙吟·小沟东接长江鉴赏
上片，运用景事反观手法，写功名未就，感到空悲而又极力排遣与安慰的心态。开头五句，写了临皋烟景：小沟、长江、柳堤、苇岸、烟村、早市。它们叠印成了“连云际”的“潇洒”而喧闹的渔樵之乡的风景图，很有特色。面对如此美丽的江滨风光，东坡竟产生了与常人不同的人生感叹：“永昼端居，寸阴虚度，了成何事。”然而，东坡毕竟是东坡，迅即调整心态，从“丝莼”、“玉藕”、“珠粳”与“锦鲤”的寻常百姓生活中，看到了一条值得留恋的人生道路。
下片，运用仙话寄托的笔法，回忆起京城令作者陶醉的生活，感叹贬居黄州后的无奈心境。开头六句，从宴饮和歌舞两个侧面，再现了当年东坡京城那种“浮丘”仙人式的、“瑶池”仙境般的“沉醉生活，再现了众“青鸾”穿着“摇曳”的“铢衣”，进入“壶中天地”而“歌舞”的缥缈轻举美之情景。颇有“坐中年少暗消魂，争问青鸾家远近”（柳永《木兰花》）的韵味，反映了东坡借仙人、仙境以解脱空虚苦闷的无奈心态。紧接着，笔锋一转，反照现实，天上人间，好不凄凉，从“瑶池”、“壶中天地”的仙境陡然“飘堕人间”，过着“露寒风细”贫困的贬居生活。与《水龙吟·小舟横截春江》作《越调笛声慢》赠公显的心境一样，唯一告慰故友的是“我”抱素琴，独向“银蟾影里”遥慰，否则，“此怀难寄”。
全词以景托情，正反观照，杂以仙话的点化引用，作者将自己此时此地对人生、对现实怀有虚无感和伤叹感表达得淋漓尽致。道时光易逝，叹怀才不遇；借仙话隐道，解脱空虚愁苦。纵观全词，抓住虽以“抱琴”“独向银蟾”遥慰，仍隐留着“此怀难寄”之感。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
