译文
月光清寒，好象盛冰的玉壶那样皎洁明净。天上的明月出没在云间，地上的长桥如苍龙横卧水面。美酒一樽，瑶琴三弄。吸引仙女凌波而来，凭依着阑干任天风拂面。放眼望去远远近近的楼台殿阁，天地辽阔，江水浩瀚无边。
注释
中吕：宫调名。
普天乐：曲牌名。又名《黄梅雨》。南北曲皆有此曲牌。北曲属中吕宫，南曲属正宫；句法也各不同。
本篇为作者《吴江八景》之一。吴江：在今江苏省。古吴江泛指吴淞江流域，大致包括苏州、太湖和长江下游一带。垂虹：指吴江上的垂虹桥。桥有七十二洞，俗称长桥。因桥形若虹，故名。今已不存。
玉华：指月亮的光华。
冰壶：盛冰的玉壶，比喻洁白。这里是形容月色。
玉兔：月亮。传说月中有白兔，故称。
苍龙：形容垂虹桥如长龙卧波。
凌波：形容女性步履轻盈。曹植《洛神赋》曾以“凌波微步，罗袜生尘”，描绘洛水女神。

普天乐·垂虹夜月创作背景
徐再思夜临垂虹桥，凭栏而立，看着清寒的月光，浩瀚的江水，不禁心生慨叹，作这支小令。

普天乐·垂虹夜月鉴赏
这首写景的小令情致幽深，气势浩大，颇值得玩味。
起笔直写月光，与题目相照应，“玉华寒，冰壶冻”，垂虹桥上的月色皎洁明净，清寒得如同盛满冰水的壶。开头两句以“冰壶”来比喻月色，生动传神地表现出月色的皎洁清亮。“云间玉兔，水面苍龙”，月光的清辉洒满大地，抬头仰望天空，看到的是一轮明月在云间游走；低头远望大地，看到垂虹桥如长龙一般盘踞在吴江上。相传，生活在月中的嫦娥有一只玉兔，此处用“玉兔”代指明月，将明月在云间出没的姿态表现得淋漓尽致。而将垂虹桥比作“水面苍龙”，则将垂虹桥盘踞水上，似要腾空而起的雄伟气势写尽。
时隐时现的明月和有腾空之势的垂虹桥共同构成了一幅迷离梦幻的图画。接着，诗人将视线由景物转到人身上。在月色朦胧的垂虹桥上，游人雅兴大发，“酒一樽，琴三弄”，饮酒弄琴，不亦乐乎。
江天壮阔，月色朦胧，游人把酒望月，已至微醺，如此良辰美景，诗人仿佛看到水边的仙女踏着凌波微步，款款而来，倚在栏杆上任凭天风吹拂着面颊，“嗅起凌波仙人梦，倚阑干满面天风。”曹植曾在《洛神赋》中说洛神“凌波微步”，“罗袜生尘”，飘然而至。此处的“凌波仙人”指的自然就是洛神。此处引入“洛神”这一形象除了为月夜的垂虹桥披上一层神秘梦幻的面纱之外，也更加凸显出了月色之美和琴音之妙，迷人的景色和音乐甚至将仙女都吸引来了。“天风”二字除了形象地写出了风的宜人之外，也使整个环境显得更加神秘缥缈。“仙人”和“天风”给予读者无穷无尽的想象空间，平添了整支曲子的意蕴。
面对辽阔的江天，诗人神清气爽，思绪纷飞。站在垂虹桥上，任微风轻轻吹拂着身体，凭栏远望，目之所及，只见“楼台远近，乾坤表里，江汉西东”，远处近处灯光摇曳，尽是楼台殿阁，江天一色，烟波浩渺，天地分外辽阔，浩瀚的江水从面前奔涌而过。末尾三句以大笔肆意泼墨，描绘出一幅天地壮阔、浩瀚无涯的雄伟画面。此处虽用笔粗放，但是感情却深邃沉挚，天地无涯人却终要面对各式各样的限制。结尾似戛然而止，语虽尽而意未绝，引人深思。

徐再思引(1320年前后在世)，元代散曲作家。字德可，曾任嘉兴路吏。因喜食甘饴，故号甜斋。浙江嘉兴人。生卒年不详，与贯云石为同时代人，今存所作散曲小令约100首。作品与当时自号酸斋的贯云石齐名，称为“酸甜乐府”。后人任讷又将二人散曲合为一编，世称《酸甜乐府》，收有他的小令103首。
