钱塘西湖有诗僧清顺，所居藏春坞，门前有二古松，各有凌霄花络其上，顺常昼卧其下。时余为郡，一日屏骑从过之，松风骚然，顺指落花求韵，余为赋此。

译文
钱塘西湖旁有一诗僧，名叫清顺，他所居住的藏春坞，门前有两棵古松树，树上有凌霄花攀援，清顺常常白天躺卧在松树下。我为郡守时，一天屏退随从去访他，松风骚然，清顺指着落花求我创作，我于是写下此词。
两株古松冲天而起，铜枝铁干，屈伸偃仰，仿佛白甲苍髯的两条巨龙，张牙舞爪，在烟雨中飞腾。凌霄花的金红色花朵，掩映于一片墨绿苍翠之间，让人感到了一股淡淡的清香，一个和尚正躺在浓荫下的竹床上沉睡。
从湖上吹来的风，又清又软；一对喜鹊飞来树上，叽叽喳喳。只见在微风的摩挲之下，青翠的松枝伸展摇动，金红色的凌霄花儿微微颤动。
注释
藏春坞（wù）：清顺居处的小庭院。中间洼，四边高的地方叫坞。
凌霄花：一名紫葳，夏秋开花，茎有气根，可攀援棚篱。
为郡：指为杭州知府。
屏（bǐng）骑（jì）从过之：不带给随的人马而独自去群访他。屏：除去，不用。骑从：骑马跟随的人。过：拜访；上门访问。之：指代僧清顺。
骚然：骚骚作响。
白甲，松皮如鳞甲。苍髯，深绿的松针。
幽人：幽栖之人，《易经·履·九二》：”幽人贞吉。“孔颖达疏：”幽隐之人。“此指清顺。
争噪晚：在夕照中争相呜叫。
翠飐（zhǎn）红轻：形容双鹊跳动引起松叶和凌霄花的颤动。

元祐五年（1090）五月，苏轼过访藏春坞。释惠洪《冷斋夜话》卷六：”西湖僧清顺，字怡然，清苦多佳句。“周紫芝《竹坡诗话》：”东坡游西湖僧舍，壁间见小诗云：‘竹暗不通日，泉声落如雨。春风自有期，桃李乱深坞。’问谁所作，或告以钱塘僧清顺者，即日求得之，一见甚喜。“词当作与此时。

这首词的作意，小序里交待得很清楚。东坡爱和僧人交往，喜欢谈禅说法，这首词既是应和尚的请求而作，自然透露出禅机。“双龙对起”，起笔便有拔地千寻、突兀凌云之势。两株古松冲天而起，铜枝铁干，屈伸偃仰，如白甲苍髯的两条巨龙，张牙舞爪，在烟雨中飞腾。前两句写古松，写的是想象中的幻景。词人乍一见古松，即产生龙的联想，而龙是兴风作雨的神物，恍惚中似见双龙在风雨中翻腾。当时已是傍晚，浓荫遮掩的枝干，若隐若现，也容易产生烟雨的错觉。接着，词人从幻景中清醒过来。眼见凌霄花的金红色花朵，掩映一片墨绿苍翠之间，他仿佛闻到了一股淡淡的清香。一个和尚，躺在浓荫下的竹床上，清闲地小憩呢。
从湖上吹来的风，又清又软，多么温柔，不知是怕吹醒了幽人呢还是怜惜娇嫩的凌霄花。一对喜鹊，飞来树上，叽叽喳喳争吵些什么呢？但树自在，花自香，幽人自梦。有人说，一对喜鹊争噪，将”疏影微香“、”幽人梦长“的意境搅得稀糟。这是不明白闹与静的辩证关系。人世的纷争更能显出佛门的超脱，鸟儿的鸣叫更能显示境界的幽静。隋王籍不是有”蝉噪林逾静，鸟鸣山更幽“（《入若耶溪》）的名句吗？在微风的摩挲之下，青翠的松枝伸展摇动，金红色的凌霄花儿微微颤动。在浓绿的枝叶之中，忽然一点金红，轻飘飘、慢悠悠地离开枝蔓，缓缓而下，渐落渐近，安然无声。过了好一会儿，又是一点金红，缓缓而下。如此境界，令人神清气爽，思虑顿消，整个身心都融化在一片无我、无物、无思、无虑，纯任自然，天机自运的恬淡之中。
综观全词，在对立中求得和谐，是其创造意境的艺术特色。整首词写的物象只有两种：古松和凌霄花。前者是阳刚之美，后者是阴柔之美。而凌霄花是描写的重点，“双龙对起”的劲健气势被“疏影微香”、“湖风清软”所软化，作为一种陪衬，统一阴柔之美中。从词的上片看，是动与静的对立，“对起”的飞腾激烈的动势和“疏影微香”、“幽人昼梦”静态成对比。词的下片是闹与静的对立，鹊的“噪”和凌霄花无言的“下”形成对比。就是在这种对立的和谐之中，词人创造出了一种超然物外，虚静清空的艺术境界。一切都是那么自然，没有主观的评价，没有自我情感的直接表露，他只是作为一个旁观者，为我们描绘出了一幅风景画。而在这天然的图画中，没有任何人力的作用，没有人的丝毫活动，树风花鸟自由自在，了无交涉，昼梦的幽人似乎也融化为自然之中了。这是禅意的诗的艺术表现。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
