译文
床榻设在殿堂的阴影下，清风吹来，凉飕飕的十分舒爽，长长的回廊里，响着淙淙的流水声。附近的山上，树木萧森，云气缭绕，传来了鹧鸪的啼叫，山下，清溪潋滟，稻浪翻滚，随风飘散着谷子的香味。
日落时分，忽然来了一阵急雨，为赶归程，只好冒雨而行，山村园圃之间的小路，在雨中变得迷茫难辨了。路上的行人看见我们疲于奔命的模样，都相视而笑：为着游山玩水，竟弄得这样狼狈匆忙！
注释
鹅湖寺：鹅湖寺在鹅湖山，铅山县城河口镇东南。山势逶迤，山巅三峰挺峙，冲霄凌汉。山中怪石荦确，林深涧幽，泉瀑鸣唱，风光如画。据说山上原有湖，多生荷，名荷湖，东晋人龚氏居山养鹅，更名鹅湖。山麓有唐大历时大义智孚禅师所建仁寿院，宋时称鹅湖寺。《铅山县志》：“鹅湖山在县东北，周回四十余里。其影入于县南西湖，诸峰联络，若狮象犀猊，最高者峰顶三峰挺秀。”
一榻清风：苏轼《佛日山荣长老方丈五绝》：“食罢茶瓯未要深，清风一榻抵千金。”
章：通“橦”，大木材。云木：凌云之树木。钩辀（gōu zhōu）：鹧鸪呜叫声。
稏（bà yà）：生长于江南的一种稻子。杜牧《郡斋独酌》：“稏百顷稻，西风吹半黄。”
微茫：隐约模糊。
有底忙：如此匆忙。苏轼《大风留金山两日》：“细思城市有底忙，却笑蛟龙为谁怒。”“底”：如此、如许。

鹧鸪天·鹅湖寺道中创作背景
此词约作于南宋淳熙十四年（1187年），词人时年四十七岁，退居信州带湖。因为鹅湖是铅山最著名的风景点，乾道间朱熹、陆九渊兄弟及吕祖谦曾在这里集会讨论学术，所以词人深为这里的风光所吸引，于是在夏季独自一人来访鹅湖寺，在前往鹅湖寺的途中作了这首词。

鹧鸪天·鹅湖寺道中鉴赏
上片描写的是鹅湖寺内外的景色，先写寺内，再写寺外，显出词人的安闲和惬意。清风吹来，殿堂之中特别凉爽，寺庙旁边泉水叮咚，令人心旷神怡。寺外有千株高大的树木，树木中有鹧鸪的叫声，山下有十里稻香，景色由近而远。后二句以“鸟鸣”、“稻香”相对，不仅词性两两相对，还运用了数字对：“千章”、“十里”，叠韵对：“钩辀”、“稏”。叠韵对仗，十分工稳。
下片描写的是回家途中的情景，语意轻快诙谐，充满林泉乐趣。“冲”，显出他急迫心情，雨过天晴，山中的小路被冲得模糊不清，“趁”，写天色将晚急忙赶路的行状。“细路微茫”，写路生天晚而产生的紧张心态。结韵化紧就松，自嘲不能为事业出力，只能为林泉而忙碌。也讽刺那些不知林泉之乐的俗人，不明此中的真意。正如庄子所说“子非鱼，安知鱼之乐”，他追求林泉之乐，已经到了反常的程度。通过别人的嘲笑，表明他为了寻找泉水认真而忙碌，却乐此不疲的执着精神，这是词人热爱生活、热爱家乡的体现，但也反映了词人摆脱烦恼、要借林泉洗涤身心疲惫的精神状态。
词人写这首词运用了归纳法，首先把上片四句与过片两句析为两个部分，分别描写鹅湖寺道周遭的林泉胜景，及“冲急雨，趁斜阳”的情形，从宿寺开始，到离寺上路，再到冒雨赶路，直至山路微茫，可谓处处是景，令词人应接不暇。而词人喜景之情、猎景之心也自洋溢其间。然后以“倦途却被行人笑”一句，承上启下，借人之口引出“只为林泉有底忙”的一句话来，更翻上一层，既活跃气氛，又见心甘如此也，以总括上面两个部分的文意作结。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
