译文
谁说老天爷无情，老天爷懂得殷勤地挽留客人。春天到了，天气渐渐变暖，因为什么，早晨还飘着雪花。你如今是遇到好的机会，一定会青云直上。我则应当告老还乡。恐怕隔一段时间，再想举杯共饮时，但远隔云山，再也无缘相会了。
这种复杂的世事，都很难断定怎样发展，谁能知道你我今后是怎么样呢？即使我们今后会有举杯共饮致使，即使两方都还健在，但恐怕我们到那时都已白发苍苍了！我们为什么要放过这一醉方休的良机呢？这样的挚友欢饮，实在太难寻求了。我们用不着向倾心爱慕的友人倾诉离别之苦，话未出口，双眼已满含泪水，睫毛上挂上了滴滴泪珠。你要来信，我要回音，鱼书往还，友情永存。
注释
满江红：词牌名，唐人小说《冥音录》载曲名为《上江虹》，后改今名。柳永始填此调，双调九十三字，上片八句四仄韵，下片十句五仄韵。
文安国：文勋，宇安国，官太府寺丞。善论难剧谈，工篆画，苏轼曾为他作《文勋篆赞》。
底事：就是“何事”、“为什么”。
纡：系，结。组绶：官员系玉的丝带。
耽：沉溺，入迷。泉石：山水，这里指归隐之地。
凝：聚集，集中。
新燕：来信。
音书：音讯，书信。

满江红·正月十三日送文安国还朝创作背景
由于苏轼“口快笔锐”，所以屡遭挫折、外放，熙宁七年（1074）由杭州通判调知密州（今山东诸城），一路上留下许多书法感慨的诗词。熙宁九年（1076），文安国因事来密州，两人情投意合，深谈契机，正月十三日，文安国还朝，苏轼设宴相送而有此作。

这是一首送别词，题目交代了写作缘由。词作直抒惜别之情，委婉深挚，亲切感人。
词一开始，便写友情难舍之意：“天岂无情？天也解、多情留客。”这是借“天气”写“人情”。说天也懂得多情留客，那么，人意岂不比天意更切？不言已，而言天，这是借景抒情的曲致，深婉而又自然之笔。为了说明天的”多情留客“之意，接着又一反问：”春向暖，朝来底事，尚飘轻雪？”是呀，正月里来是新春，正月中旬，春讯已报，为什么不早不晚，就在文安国决定还朝的时候，天一亮就飘起雪来了呢？这不分明是天也很多情地劝客莫归吗？话不在多，而在情衷；语不在华，而在恰切。只此两句，便借节侯异象申足了留客之意。
但客人毕竟要如期还朝的，所以下面便转入对友人的衷心祝愿和抒发自己此刻的情怀：“君遇时来纤组授，我应老去寻泉石。”上句是实意真清而带对时政的隐讽，下句是纯粹的牢骚。不说做宫而说腰系绶带（官员系玉的丝带），这就把抽象的祝愿具体形象化了。但说“纡组绶”得等到“遇时来”（政治昌明）方可，这就含有对时政的讥讽了。至于说自己要归休泉石，去过隐居生活，这牢骚就更深了。词人曾以“有笔头千字，胸中万卷，致君尧舜，此事何难”自许（《沁园春·赴密州早行马上寄子由》），这绝非说大话，而是道其真智，言其实情。但现实却硬逼着他走，“······归去，作个闲人，对一张琴，一壶酒，一溪云”（《行香子·静夜无尘》）的道路。这是因现实所逼，在这送别友人之际，词人便一吐其苦，而发出“我应归去寻泉石”的牢骚。这里应注意一个“应”字，“应”是忖度之词，是坎坷中无可奈何之想，意思是除非现实逼我无路可走，我还是轻易不肯走这条“不食人间烟火”的消极道路的。虽然词人毕竟是热爱人民，热爱生活，但复杂的现实又很难说不逼他走这条归隐之路，所以接下去说：“恐异时杯酒复相思，云山隔。”这里应注意一个“恐”字，恐怕如何，即不愿如何，此字道出了“云山隔”非其本愿。因而可以说，上阕是以送客叙友倩为主，但也有借送客而述怀的成分，而述怀中虽有“寻泉石”、“云山隔”等想归隐的字句，但寻绎词旨，这些都是送别中的一些激愤之词，牢骚之语。这是词人那种高尚人格、进取精神与现实相矛盾的反映，是词人“奋厉有当世志”（苏辙《东坡先生墓志铭》）而又不得实现的变态反映。
词虽分上下两阕，但上下阙之间确实意脉贯通、语气相连的。因而下阕一开头边说“浮世事，俱难必。人纵健，头应白。”“浮世事，俱难必”六字写出了“咄咄怪事出”、“人问底事无”的现实，抒发了真理难寻、直士难作、壮志难伸而又不甘苟且从流的痛苦和牢骚；而后六个字，又写出了时光易逝、时不我待的痛切之苦，同时，它又巧妙的把话题归回到送客劝酒的正题上来。“何辞更一醉，此欢难觅”这里是说，老朋友，我们还是举大杯痛饮吧！大有“酒逢知己千杯少”的味道，大有宁做酒中仙，不为名利客的感慨。
为了让友人多饮几杯，故不做悲酸语，而写旷达情：“不用向佳人诉离恨，泪珠先已凝双睫。”当劝别人不比痛苦之时，也正是自己心中酸楚之时，因此，词人虽写的是旷达之语，但实际上表现的却是相别时共有的痛苦难舍之情。“但莫遣新燕却来时，音书绝。”词人非正面说，而是以反话出之，这就更充分表现了词人对友谊的珍惜、主动、迫切感。同时，按密州的“节候”说，属于农谚中“七九河开，八九燕来”的区域。按正常年份，正月十三，尚属“数六九”之末，但十天之后，便属“新燕”飞来的“八九”，诗人不说“你到京就马上来信”，而以“新燕”云云，这就把抽象的思想变成了有时空感、形象感、有韵味的艺术语言，很是新美。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
