译文
烦愤无聊地苦笑，捻搓着花枝说，处处杜鹃在悲鸣啼血。美丽的花应去映衬漂亮的楼台，不要傍着秦关蜀栈在战场开。
登楼凭栏放眼看，心绪更惆怅。面对东风说一声。好风不要吹动战旗红，应早把如雪的鲥鱼吹送到江东。
注释
无聊：由于清闲而烦闷。
捻（niǎn）：用手指搓。
鹃啼血：杜鹃，即子规鸟，又名杜宇、布谷鸟。杜鹃啼声哀切，且啼声不断，直至啼出血方止，故言“杜鹃啼血”。
秦关：指陕西一带的关口。因陕西为古秦国所在地，故称。
蜀栈（zhàn）：蜀川道路艰险，多在山间凿岩架木，筑成栈道，以作通路。故称蜀栈。秦关、蜀栈在这里都指战争要塞，也指战场。
极目：纵目，用尽目力远望。
簸（bò）：簸动，摇动。
鲥（shí）：名贵食用鱼。体扁而长，背部黑绿色，腹部银白色带金光，鳞下有丰富的脂肪，肉鲜嫩。生活在海中，每年五、六月游入淡水产卵。以其出入有时而得名。
江东：自汉至隋唐，称安徽芜湖以下的长江下游南岸地区为江东。这里泛指江南没有战争风云的和平美好的生活。

虞美人·无聊创作背景
此词大约创作于顺治五年（1648年），清政府为了镇压人民的反抗，调兵遣将。进行残酷的战争，给人民带来深重的灾难，诗人对此是反感的，愤怒的，故而写下此词。

虞美人·无聊鉴赏
陈维崧是清代著名的词人。他继承宋代苏轼、辛弃疾的豪放词风，发展形成自己独特的风格。他出生于一个具有民族气节和正义感的文学世家，少时享有盛名，被誉为“江左凤凰”。明亡入清后，漂零四方，广泛地接触社会生活，因而词作多具现实主义的深刻内容。这首词就是其中有代表性的篇什。
这首词反映了作者憎恶战争、盼望和平的美好心愿。开头“无聊笑捻花枝说，处处鹃啼血”两句，以悠闲轻淡的语调落笔，给人们展示了千紫万红、鲜花烂漫的春日景象。“无聊”二字，既点出了词题，又刻划了客观物景的艳丽夺目的意象。“鹃啼血”以杜鹃啼血来比拟杜鹃花红艳的色彩，而蕴含更深一层的意念。李山甫《闻子规啼》诗：“断肠思故国，啼血溅芳枝。”这一切似乎给人既带来愉悦又值得深思的感觉。
下两句笔锋陡转，“好花须映好楼台，休傍秦关蜀栈战场开。”恰似一声春雷，惊醒人们温馨的梦。“休傍”不但是作者正面的劝阻与否定，而且暗示着如念这芬芳艳丽的鲜花，并没有装点在和平的人们中间，西南之地仍是狼烟滚滚，战火未灭。据史料记载，清兵自入关后到建国初年，争夺战事一直纷纷扰扰。词人曾目睹清政府的残酷统治。如1648年，清军大举进攻东南各省的抗清队伍，所到之处，杀从掳掠，“县无完村，村无完家，家无完人，人无完妇”（尚钺《中国历史纲要》）。在作者晚年时，清统率军队又进军四川陕西一带镇压人民反抗。词人希望好花不要开遍在战场旁，正是这一现实的折射，同时又表现了他对战争的强烈谴责。
“倚楼极目深愁绪，更对东风语。”这里承上句，表现词人对战争的深切忧虑，由亢烈的情感转入如泣如诉的悲怆之中，“更对东风语”尤显得哀婉、凄切。既然倚楼极目更添许多愁绪，而又无人领略，只能面对东风而语，含意深远。结末两句，融情于景，耐人寻味。“好风休簸战旗红，早送鲥鱼如雪过江东。”温暖和煦的春风，不该为战旗而飘摇，应该是为人们送来雪白而鲜美的鲥鱼。
陈廷焯在《白雨斋词话》中说：“迦陵（陈维崧）词气魄绝大，骨力绝遒，填词之富，古今无两。”在这些词中最有价值的是反映社会现实和同情民生疾苦的词篇，此词成功之处正在着眼于现实，而感情的抒发，由激亢到舒缓，在平淡中见曲折，使全词抑扬顿挫而错落有致。《白雨斋词话》中称其词“情词兼胜，骨韵都高，几合苏、辛、周、姜为一手。”确有眼力。在反映现实的深度上，这首词与杜甫《洗兵马》“安得壮士挽天河，净洗甲兵长不用”，有着同样的含意和工妙。

陈维崧(1625～1682)清代词人、骈文作家。字其年，号迦陵。宜兴（今属江苏）人。清初诸生，康熙十八年(1679)举博学鸿词，授翰林院检讨。54岁时参与修纂《明史》，4年后卒于任所。
