译文
香烟缭绕升出于雕镂的彩盘，寒气从冰柱中生发出来，画堂里别有一般风光。主人情意重，设宴席还请出美女。歌女的颈项洁白圆润，似用软玉搓捏而成，藕丝般的裙子如仙女的新织的衣裳。几首歌唱完，月亮已转过凌空的房檐，余音还悠扬不绝。
这歌声，人间哪里去找，那些司空见惯的女伶，实在也太寻常了。在座的狂放的客人，心绪缭乱。歌女说金钗落了地，正要捡，十指露出来，如春笋般细长。我亲自看见了，比《高唐赋》里还要美的人。
注释
香瑗雕盘：指香烟缭绕升出于雕镂的彩盘。香，指烧香冒出的香烟。瑗，香烟缭绕袅袅升腾，有如云雾霭霭。雕盘，雕镂彩釉的烟盘。
寒生冰箸：寒气从冰柱中生发出来。冰箸，指屋檐上滴水冻结的冰柱。亦称冰条。箸，筷子。
红妆：陪酒侍宴的歌女。
“腻玉”句：形容歌女的颈项洁白圆润，似用软玉搓捏而成。
藕丝：彩色名。也借以形容用藕丝般纤细嫩丝所织成的裙子。
虚檐转月：月光悄悄地从静寂的屋檐转照下来。指时间已久。
“余韵”句：指歌声悠扬的馀韵尚在耳边回荡。
狂客：此指作者自己。言被歌女美貌艺伎着迷得发狂的人。
春笋：形容歌女的十指尖尖，像春笋初发般媚入。
宋玉：战国时楚国的辞赋家，或称屈原之弟子，曾事顷襄王。作《高唐赋》，描写了一个妙丽的巫山神女。此说《高唐赋》中的美女尚不及席上的歌女美。

满庭芳·香叆雕盘创作背景
此词作于宋哲宗元祐二年丁卯（1087年）六月。清王文诰《苏诗总案》谓作于丁卯六月之“集于王诜西园”。宋米元章有《西园雅集图记》，记述画家李伯时所画“西园雅集图”中的苏轼与王晋卿等十六位文人墨客相聚议论弄墨的“卓然高致”和“各肖其形”的情景。

词的上片，一开头先展现出堂宇的一片清凉明丽的夏日景象：雕盘中升腾缭绕着的霭霭烟香，堂上陈置着冬日储存的天然冰块，满屋清香扑鼻，又时感浑身清凉。爽凉舒适的环境，为下文妙丽“红妆”的出场，做好了铺垫；同时也为“主人情重”的盛意，进行了渲染。下面“腻玉圆搓素颈，藕丝嫩，新织仙裳。”淋漓尽致地描绘了歌女“啭春莺”的外貌美。而“歌声罢”三句，则极写歌声的馀音回荡，显出灵动悄恍之美。你看，当歌声停歇之后，人们才如梦初醒般看到月光已从静寂的屋檐下爬了进来，因为歌声太迷人了，听得也太专注了，所以忘记了时间的飞逝。不仅如此，那悠扬美妙的歌声馀音，似乎还在人们耳边飘荡回旋不止呢！这是暗用了《列子·汤问》“曹娥善歌”的故事寓意：“昔曹娥东之齐，匮粮，过雍门，鬻歌假食。既去，而馀音绕梁，三日不绝，左右以其人弗去。”词借此典故，夸张地表现了啭春莺的歌声极强的感染力，有如曹娥的“馀音绕梁”，给人以无限想象的馀地，说明歌女不仅外貌美而其歌声更美。
下片转向了作者对绝代佳人的惊讶和赞叹。“人间，何处有？”像啭春莺这样美貌而绝伦的歌手，人间无处去找那些司空见惯的女伶，实在是寻常。“坐中狂客，恼乱愁肠”，作者不禁为之心绪缭乱，“狂”态百出，不知如何是好了。蓦然间，“报道金钗坠也。”歌女一声尖叫，作者的视线也立即随着她的手伸向地面去捡拾金钗——一只纤长细嫩的手臂煞时从舞袖中袒露出来：十指尖尖，如春笋初发，愈加可爱无比。这个突发的小插曲，却骤然增添了歌女的另一层美丽，启示人们对她整体部位美的想象和思索，意味无穷。于是，词情便顺利地转向了虚处的渲染和烘托：“亲曾见，全胜宋玉，想象赋《高唐》。”意谓：宋玉在其《高唐赋》中塑造的巫峡妙丽神女，是出自他的艺术想象，现实中并不存在；而我自己这番亲眼所见，却无与伦比，她的美，远远超过了宋玉笔下的神女。这段话，是作者的自言自语，一如痴人痴话，任其倾慕思恋之情，全从心底款款流出。在感慨万千中，将无穷思绪引向无边无际的时空之中。美人不多见，也难能再相遇，作者此时似乎还交织着一种怅然若失的人生感受，遗憾不已。
这是苏轼一首显著的婉约词，写得灵动逼真，意趣盎然。这首词虽然也受到柳永词的影响——如“腻玉圆搓素颈”，全用柳永《昼夜乐》。然而从词的整体艺术格调来说，它感情纯真丽自然，与柳永词的华丽浓艳不同，而有所超越。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
