译文
潇水奔腾出九疑，临源湘水逶迤行。
二水会合空旷处，水清流缓波涛平。
江岸高馆耸云霄，更有危楼倚山隈。
雨后初晴天色朗，纤云舒卷碧空尽。
秋高气爽日正中，江天一色无纤尘。
才闻渔父低声唱，忽听羁鸿哀声鸣。
见此胜景岂不乐？难以自制思绪分。
登高欲遣杂念去，更招思念故乡情。
无心游玩驾舟返，小舟徘徊人迟疑。

浚：此处指水深。
临源：山名，《百家注柳集》云：“九疑、临源,潇湘所出。”
泓澄：水清而广。停风雷：谓波平涛息，水流转缓。
轩霞表：高耸于云霄之外。轩，飞貌。
澄霁：天色清朗。
杳杳：远貌。
豫：欢乐。
裁：自制。
远念：对远方故乡的思念。
驶：快速行进。
沿洄：顺流而下曰沿，逆水而上曰洄。
湘口馆潇湘二水所会鉴赏
这是一首写景诗，状写山川之美，乃是柳宗元的拿手好戏。汪森在《韩柳诗选》中曾说：“柳州于山水文字最有会心，幽细淡远，实兼陶谢之胜。”近代藤元粹在《柳柳州诗集》卷三中评论此诗时则说得更具体：“开旷之景，叙来如见，宛然一幅活画。”那么，现在我们就来看一看，柳宗元是怎样描绘这幅“活画”的。诗人先写远景：潇湘二水的发源地，但江流一缓一急，一蜿蜒而来，一直奔而至，一幅颇具特色的远景江流图已经呈现在读者面前。接下来，诗人便仔细描摹二水会合口的胜景。先看水面，空旷开阔，碧水连天，波涛不惊，水的动景反而变成了静景；而两岸危楼高耸，则又化静为动，让人看来怵目惊心；顺着危楼再往上看，一幅蓝天白云的美妙景观便呈现眼前，那雨后初晴的灿灿阳光，那悠悠飘过的缕缕白云，好一幅秋高气爽的绝妙佳境，而且是水天一色，绝无纤尘，这简直就是一个神仙世界，不染半点世俗的浊气。读到这里，免不了心驰神往，诗人身处如此仙境，就更当飘飘欲仙了。然而且慢，立即便有世俗的浊气传来：因为有了“羁鸿”的哀鸣作陪衬，“渔父”之“吟”便也有了悲音，这悲音其实并非来自渔父之口，而是发自诗人的心底，由“羁鸿”的哀鸣，诗人不能不想到自己被贬他乡羁留穷乡僻壤的痛楚，因而再美妙的景色也不属于他，这景色不仅不能使他愉快起来，相反，他越想借它来排遣乡思，乡思反而越来越浓。仙人的佳境他已没有心思欣赏，只好驾舟回程。然而，回程之路又在哪里呢？作为被贬之人，他又不能不想到自己只能“羁留”于此的处境：故乡不能去，有家不能归。他所能回的“家”，与“羁所”同名，与“监狱”无异，他又何必急急忙忙地回到那“监狱”中呢？更为可怕的是，不回到那“监狱”他便无处可去，无法抉择的两难处境，更增添了诗人的愁苦，小舟漂泊于宽阔的江面，徘徊不前，虽是风平浪静，也给人岌岌可危之感，这不是小舟的危急，而是诗人心境的危急。

柳宗元（773年－819年），字子厚，唐代河东（今山西运城）人，杰出诗人、哲学家、儒学家乃至成就卓著的政治家，唐宋八大家之一。著名作品有《永州八记》等六百多篇文章，经后人辑为三十卷，名为《柳河东集》。因为他是河东人，人称柳河东，又因终于柳州刺史任上，又称柳柳州。柳宗元与韩愈同为中唐古文运动的领导人物，并称“韩柳”。在中国文化史上，其诗、文成就均极为杰出，可谓一时难分轩轾。
