译文
愁绪像落叶一样撒落满地，而这愁绪却无人能够理解，露水打湿了竹叶的影子，我孤零零地站在空荡的台阶上，只有旧时曾共同照耀着我们的斑竹月色能安慰我的心绪。
我宁愿让自己薄情寡义，不因多情而心累，阵阵歌声催得我柔肠寸断对着墙壁读你的信笺，不禁想起当初在灯前呼着热气暖手，为你书写心曲。
注释
虞美人：词牌名，唐教坊曲。初咏项羽宠姬虞美人，因以为名。又名 “一江春水”、“玉壶水”、“巫山十二峰”等。双调，五十六字，上下片各四句。
秋夕：七月七日晚上。信步：随便漫步。
愁痕：指青青的苔痕。
琅玕（Iàng gàn）：像珠子一样的美石。这里是形容竹子的青翠。
闲阶：空荡寂寞的台阶。
潇湘：指湘江，因其水清深故名。
“红笺”二句：意思是说信笺仍在，而信中模糊的字迹，让人想起当初夜灯下呵手写字的情景。向壁，李白《草书歌》： “起来向壁不停手，一行数字大如斗”，原指面壁在墙上写大字，这里是说不停地在纸上写字。

虞美人·愁痕满地无人省创作背景
七月七日，七夕佳节。天上、人间，花好月圆。词人在庭院中信步闲逛，看到月色下深浅不一的青苔，以及被秋露打湿的苍竹，那婆娑的竹影，此时此景不禁让词人感伤，想起了妻子，内心的凄凉油然而生，提笔写下这首词。

虞美人·愁痕满地无人省鉴赏
纳兰的这首词，有着他一贯的忧郁风范。
上片斟月光为茗，看林梢轻影，无须整理的心事。随着殷殷低唤，拂去轻尘，来到眼前“愁痕满地无人省，露湿琅玕影”，纳兰小令中的白描总是十分动人。信步竹林间，满地竹叶恰似愁痕点点。纳兰词里这样的情境有很多，夜寒露重时独立小院，衣衫必是不足御寒的，心境也必是凄凉无依的。而在这里，词人也不绕圈子，自己说得清楚明白，“闲阶小立倍荒凉”，空荡寂寞的台阶显得十分荒凉。
而下一句，纳兰却又隐晦了，“还剩旧时月色在潇湘”，万千情意都浓缩在“潇湘”两字。潇湘喻指生死相隔。词句到了这里，纳兰的心迹也都铺显了出来，干言万语，还是悼亡。月亮还是当年的月亮，只是如今，它却孤零零照在一个人清冷孤寂的身影上。
下片写万籁俱寂，已寐难眠，此时正是“薄情转是多情累，曲曲柔肠碎”。是薄情吧，才会彼时那样不珍惜，是多情吧，才会如今这样放不下，生怕挂着笑的嘴角一垂下来，眼泪就会忍不住跟着倾泻而出。黯然神伤中，借黑夜盖住内心的忐忑不安。
这首词里，正是最后一句“忆共灯前呵手为伊书”最牵人心，想起当年和她一起在灯前写字的情景，往事历历在目。其实何曾薄情，淡淡一句清言，二人缱绻深情便呼之欲出。故事完结，谢幕散场，但总有白纸黑字，文辞依然。
从全词看，本词采用前写景后抒情的常用手法，即由眼前实景追忆曾经的情景。结句描写一细节，使小词顿生妙趣，意韵悠长，情趣悠远。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
