译文
在思愁中展开绿色的丝被，上面还留有爱人的体温和我的泪水。不能分辨这是往日的欢娱还是新生的离愁，但这一定是人世间的滋味。
几年的夫妻生活，以前没有把这种温馨的日子当会事。当一个人独自走到树林下，望着远处车马扬起的飞尘，祈盼着爱人的回来。
注释
①好事近：词牌名。又名《钓船笛》，《张子野词》等。
②翠罗衾(qīn)：绿色的丝织品制成的被子。
③馀(yú)：即“余”的异体字。
④坠欢：往日的欢乐。南朝宋鲍照诗云：坠欢岂更接，明爱邈难寻。新恨：新产生的怅惘。
⑤人间滋味：尘世的苦乐感受。
⑥相守：谓夫妻厮守。郁金堂，郁金，一种珍贵的植物，可为香料。“郁金堂”，言堂中炷着郁金之香。古辞《河中之水歌》：“卢家兰室桂为梁，中有郁金苏合香。”
⑦草草：匆忙仓促或指草率。浑闲事：视为寻常事。
⑨西风林下：秋风中的树林之下。
⑨红尘：指马走时扬起的飞尘。这里代指纷扰的人世。

好事近·愁展翠罗衾创作背景
这首词作于1904年秋，当时王国维身处他乡任教，远离家人，其心中的寂寞可见一般。在词中王国维假借一名思妇的口吻来抒发自己的孤独。

好事近·愁展翠罗衾鉴赏
这首词上半片着重于写实，其中首句“愁展翠罗衾”是小词中常用的词语，比较直白。但接下来的“半是馀温半泪”写得就比较巧妙了。一方面写了女子自己留在罗衾上的馀温和泪痕，说明她整夜都在枕上流泪。另一方面描述的馀温也可以是回忆丈夫在家的温馨，更突出了下面的“半泪”，从以往的余温到现在的寂寞眼泪。于是这里有了一种时空的交混，而引出了下一句的“不辨坠欢新恨”，指新近离别的憾恨，往日欢乐的记忆增强了新近离别的憾恨，而新近离别的憾恨又格外令人怀念往日团聚的欢乐。苦与东互为因果，令人说不清到底是“欢”还是“恨”。妙就妙在“是人间滋味”一句，作者本来是在写思妇的哀怨，但无意之中就流露出自己的口吻，俨然一幅“偶开天眼觑红尘”的姿态。如果说前三句有“花间词”风味的话，那么这最后一句回归到作者《人间词》的本身上来了。
词的下半片，更多的是在描述精神层次。“几年相守郁金堂，草草浑闲事”点明了过去几年作者与爱人厮守在家中，自认为夫妻生活本来就是如此的，所以并没有特别的珍惜，但没想到这种生活结束了。现在你离开我在外，我才体会到当年那些团聚的日子是多么珍贵难得。人，总是在思念过去和向往未来中，惟独不知道珍惜现在。“独向西风林下，望红尘一骑”两句结尾特妙：前达都是写女子的情，惟独这两句在写情的同时还描绘出一幅“景”的画面。画中思妇遥望着远方征尘中的一人一骑。因为有了“红尘”与“林下”的对比，列多的引申为忧愁烦恼的人世。“林下”可以是幽静的林下，也可能是古人说的“归隐林下”。作者写思妇站在林下，征人没入红尘，突出了作品的主题和作者的本意。
