译文
小鸟儿恋着故乡呜叫不止，公主在悲笳声中远嫁万里。
墓草青青魂魄再不能回来，青苍苍的山崖上，为谁留下了手迹。
美貌的女子自古受到容颜的牵累，高官厚禄的人有几个考虑国家生计。
行路的人到这里白白地叹息，山崖上花开草长随着季节交替。
注释
崇（chóng）徽公主：唐代宗时与回鹘和亲，以崇徽公主嫁其可汗。据《唐会要》卷六载：“公主，仆固怀恩女，大历四年五月二十四日出嫁回鹘可汗。”
手痕：指崇徽公主手痕碑，在今山西灵石县。相传公主嫁回纥时，道经灵石，以手掌托石壁，遂留下手迹，后世称为手痕碑，碑上有唐人李山甫《阴地关崇徽公主手迹》诗刻石。
韩内翰：韩绛，内翰指翰林学士。
啁啾（zhōu jiū）：鸟鸣声。
笳（jiā）：古代一种管乐器，即胡笳，从塞北和西域一带传入中原。因其声悲咽，故称悲笳。
青冢（zhǒng）：传说王昭君之墓长年长满青草，故名之“青冢”。这里用来代指崇徽公主之墓。
翠崖遗迹：指崇徽公主手痕。
玉颜：代指美丽的女子。
肉食何人：肉食人，居官享俸者。

唐崇徽公主手痕和韩内翰创作背景
这首诗作于嘉祐四年（1059年），时欧阳修在汴京任职。欧阳修所处的时代，正是宋朝由盛到衰的转折期，统治者对内统治严酷，而边境却军备废弛，受到东北部契丹和西北部西夏的不断侵扰。诗人借古生情，结合民间传说，为崇徽公主远嫁这一历史悲剧唱出了这样一曲饱蕴愤懑之情的悲歌。

唐崇徽公主手痕和韩内翰鉴赏
在这首诗里，诗人对崇徽公主不仅是怜其远嫁，哀其不幸，而且从政治上指明产生这个悲剧的原因。这就使这首诗在格调上不同于一般洒同情之泪的凄凉挽歌，而启发人们在深沉的哀怨中进而对这些女子的个人悲剧加以政治上的思考，激起人们对许多不能远谋的肉食者的愤慨。
诗从对比开始。诗人的眼前出现了当年崇徽公主远嫁时的凄凉清景。“啁啾”是形容鸟的细碎鸣叫声，白居易《燕诗》诗：“却入空巢里，啁啾终夜悲。”不离故乡的鸟儿尚啁啾鸣叫不止，而豆蔻年华的少女随着悲笳离别父母、远嫁万里之外，就更加依恋不舍了。作者在这里倾注了自己对她的怜惜同情。“青家埋魂知不返，翠崖遗迹为谁留？”在感情上更进一层，同时，诗人的思绪也回到了现实。诗人在这里反用了杜甫咏王昭君的“环佩空归月夜魂”（《咏怀古迹》）诗意而用了一个“魂”字，则使诗情变得更为深婉，同时也为读者刻画了一个楚楚动人的形象，她满眼含着哀怨的泪水在“翠崖遗迹”之间飘荡。青草年年绿，此恨绵绵无绝期。接下来作者奇峰突起，发出议论：“玉颜自古为身累，肉食何人与国谋？”诗人发自肺腑地提问：自古以来，有几个肉食者能为国家的富强而出谋划策？又有多少美丽可爱的女子遭受远嫁的厄运，成为对外执行妥协政策的牺牲品？“玉颜”反为“身累”，“肉食”不与“国谋”，诗人寓于这两对矛盾现象中的诘问尖锐犀利，自古罕见。此联议论深切痛快，而又对仗工整。末联，作者笔锋一转，长叹一声，无可奈何之情袭人心怀，行路人到此只能报之以叹息，而孤魂栖止的崖花涧草春秋更替，年复一年。这里以无情衬有情，颇有韵致。
全诗随着诗人感情的变化而发展，从怜惜、愤慨直至无可奈何的叹息，在时间上，则两度由古及今作大幅度的跳跃，使诗情波澜起伏，把感情之流导入诗人以激清冲击而成的曲折回荡的河道中。

欧阳修（1007－1072），字永叔，号醉翁，晚号“六一居士”。汉族，吉州永丰（今江西省永丰县）人，因吉州原属庐陵郡，以“庐陵欧阳修”自居。谥号文忠，世称欧阳文忠公。北宋政治家、文学家、史学家，与韩愈、柳宗元、王安石、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、曾巩合称“唐宋八大家”。后人又将其与韩愈、柳宗元和苏轼合称“千古文章四大家”。
