译文
山色浸染着傍晚的霞光，湘江水风平浪静秋花正开放。远处的树林边散落着几户人家，乌鸦还在啼叫寻觅着栖息的地方。
睡梦中曾走遍故乡的条条小路，酒醒后向南望才知有天涯隔阻。明月照耀着千里广衰的沙原。
注释
浣溪沙：唐教坊曲名，后用为词牌。“沙”或作“纱”，亦作“浣纱溪”。双调42字，分平韵、仄韵两体。上片三句皆平韵，下片三句有两句平韵。
横侵：纵横扩展。
蘸（zhàn）：原意为把物件浸入水中，引申为以液体沾染他物。
晕霞：指太阳光线经云层中冰晶的折射而形成的光象，这里指晚霞。
湘川：不是指湖南湘水，这里指湖北古荆州地区。
寒花：寒冷天气开的花，但在古代诗词中多指菊花。
尚：尚有。
南望：是词句的省略语，指苏轼从荆州遥望故乡四川眉山，其方向应在西南。
平沙：广阔的沙原，当指荆州长江江岸的辽阔沙原。

浣溪沙·山色横侵蘸晕霞创作背景
宋仁宗嘉祐四年（1059年）十一月，苏轼自故乡四川眉山沿长江返回朝堂，行舟至荆州之前，见长江两岸深秋季节的景色写下该词。

浣溪沙·山色横侵蘸晕霞鉴赏
词的上片，淋漓尽致地描写了深秋的景色。那苍翠的山色纵横扩展，沾染着长空中的五彩晚霞，湘川的秋风寂静不动，茂盛的菊花正绽苞开放。远处的村舍散落在树林丛中，突然听到晚鸦的阵阵啼叫声，它们正在傍晚飞归故巢。这些秋景的描写，如唐代李白的“秋色无远近，出门尽寒山”（《赠卢司户》）及元曲家白朴的“孤村落日残霞，轻烟老树寒鸦”（《天净沙·秋》）的深秋意象，给人以萧瑟寂寥的艺术感受，这情景会勾起游子们的无限思乡情感。
在此思乡之情油然而生的当口，下片立即转入了“梦到故园”的具体描写。苏轼喟叹着说：“离开故乡不知有多少路程了!”于是，苏轼喝醉了酒昏昏欲睡，却在梦中忆起了离别故乡的依依不舍之情。在梦惊之后贪婪地遥望着西南方的远隔天涯的眉山“故园”，不禁一阵空虚寂寞。此情此景，触目伤神，全词便在那月亮正静静照着江岸千里沙原的怅惘中戛然而止。
全词即景抒情，如行云流水，“望”字是整首词的“词眼”。先是远望山色，既而仰望空中晚霞，再是近望地上寒花，进而平望远林村舍，最后着眼于南望故园。层层递进，首尾相映。在时间安排上，起自傍晚，终至夜深，表示其思乡之念，悠悠绵长。故其情感自然质朴，又委婉曲折，含蕴丰富，可谓一唱三叹，真堪与杜甫名句“远岸秋沙白，连山晚照红”（《秋野五首》）的韵味相媲美。此词的主旨是游子思乡的情感抒发，也是与苏轼的淡漠名利的观念相一致。这与苏轼《南行集》诗中的“故乡飘已远，往意浩无边”（《初发嘉州》），及“幽怀耿不寐，四顾独徬徨”。“却思旧游处，满陌沙尘黄”（《牛口见月》）的诗句情绪遥相呼应。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
