译文
利欲驱使人东奔西走，如同万头火牛奔突一样，倒不如做个江湖上人，浪迹天涯，像沙鸥鸟那样自由自在。
一日长似一年，闲暇无所事事的时候才感觉如此，即使是天大的事，喝醉了也就无事了。
在捣衣棒的敲击声中，深巷里的明月渐渐西沉，井边的梧桐树忽然摇动叶落，方知故乡也是秋天了。
想极目远眺，苦于没有登高的地方，哪能像陈登站在百尺楼上，高论天下大事呢。
注释
欲：欲望。 驱：赶逐。
浪迹：到处漫游，行踪不定。
休：此处作“忘了”解。
井梧：水井边的梧桐树。
元龙：陈元龙，即陈登，三国时人，素有扶世救民的志向。
秋思创作背景
绍兴中应礼部试第一，秦桧孙秦埙居其次，桧怒，他与主司都被黜。桧死，始任福州宁德薄，迁大理寺司直兼宗正簿。宋孝宗时赐进士出身后几经沉浮官至宝章阁待制致仕。晚年居家乡。
秋思鉴赏
诗写秋日所感，表现了作者向往闲适而又不能闲居的心情。虽然诗人赞美沙鸥闲逸，但又说闲时度日如年；虽说事大如天，醉后亦休，但又闻砧杵声而生感，见梧桐叶落而念故园之秋。他要放眼远望，而又无楼可登。诗人之心何曾清闲得了？倒是种种矛盾想法在心中纠缠；使得他更加郁闷。

陆游（1125—1210），字务观，号放翁。汉族，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，南宋著名诗人。少时受家庭爱国思想熏陶，高宗时应礼部试，为秦桧所黜。孝宗时赐进士出身。中年入蜀，投身军旅生活，官至宝章阁待制。晚年退居家乡。创作诗歌今存九千多首，内容极为丰富。著有《剑南诗稿》、《渭南文集》、《南唐书》、《老学庵笔记》等。
