译文
在秋夜的帐帷里，那计时的满滴长久地陪伴着贵人不能入睡。低枕的玉枕渐渐凉了，轻薄的绣被已用上了，床上弥漫了一片秋天的气氛。
晨光浸透窗纸，窗外报晓的雄鸡发出第一阵鸣声，鸡声断断续续，又从耳边传来，天已亮了，但鸡声还未停息。
注释
⑴谒金门：词牌名。唐教坊曲名，后用为词调。又名《不怕醉》、《出塞》。
⑵帷：帐子。
⑶漏：古代计时的工具，用壶滴水的方法计算。这里代指时间。
⑷玉枕：陶瓷枕，以示华贵之用物。绣被：指绸缎一类的被子，富贵人家的征示。
⑸已：前“已”，已经。末“已”，停止。

谒金门·秋夜创作背景
此词作于宋神宗熙宁六年（1073年）秋。是时，苏轼在杭州通守任上。常与朋友游西湖、孤山，登柏山、竹阁，常遇少妇慕名求词，苏轼作词以赠之，此词就是其一。

谒金门·秋夜鉴赏
上片，写秋夜思的凉色。“秋帷里，长漏伴人无寐。”不说贵人心不平静，而说长漏与贵人为伴不能人眠，躺卧“秋帷”，煎熬“无寐”。“低玉枕凉轻绣被，一番秋气味。”不说贵人秋思心凉，而说“玉枕”低枕而“凉”，“绣被”顿时而“轻”薄。这凉玉枕，这轻绣被，渗透着“一番秋气味”，弥漫在贵人的“秋帷里”。或许就是这“玉枕”、“绣被”、“秋气味”，正是引起贵人“无寐”心凉的媒介。而这一幕就发生在夜色无声的“秋帷里”。
下片，写秋夜思的回声。“晓色又侵窗纸，窗外鸡声初起。声断几声还到耳，已明声未已。”长夜刚过，贵人本已心凉，全身心地浸透“秋气味”，应算完成“秋夜思”的全篇构建。词人竟运用词的有限文字，写了“秋夜思”的续片，在光和声上继续做文章，因为光和声最易撩动人的思想情感。“晓色”“侵窗纸”，点明早晨来临；“鸡声初起”，表示划破长夜的秋思，给“秋帷”人展示一线希望。晨光伴随不停的鸡声，从“到耳”中给“秋帷”人带来美好回声。或许这“晓色”、“鸡声”的来临，才真正解除“秋帷”人的绵绵夜思。而这一幕就发生在晓色有声的“窗外”，令人长长回味。
全词，写一贵人的秋夜思和余思，可词中找不到一个“思”字，更找不出在“思什么”。词人运用通感的手法，从色与声的沟通、挪移中构思了“秋帷”人的秋思图。上片，“秋帷”人一言不发，无声胜有声；下片，“鸡声”声声不断，则是有声衬无声。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
