译文
我不去做那河西县尉，不愿渡那奉迎官长的悲惨凄凉小人生涯。
再说我很害怕趋奉奔走的礼节，就权且在率府落得个清闲自在吧。
喜欢饮酒就应该有微薄的俸禄， 狂吟放歌托庇于圣明的朝廷。
原来想回家乡的兴致已尽，回过头来面对那暴风，不禁惟有叹息而已。

趋走：犹奔走，指侍候上司。
官定后戏赠创作背景
唐玄宗天宝十四载（755年）杜甫被任河西县尉，他不肯作，才改任右卫率府胄曹参军（正八品下）。这是一个看守兵甲器仗、管理门禁锁钥的官儿，和他平素“致君尧舜”的政治抱负，未免相差太远，杜甫有点啼笑皆非，所以便写了这首自我解嘲的诗来赠自己。则此诗当作千天宝十四载（755年）十月前后。

杜甫（712－770），字子美，自号少陵野老，世称“杜工部”、“杜少陵”等，汉族，河南府巩县（今河南省巩义市）人，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，杜甫被世人尊为“诗圣”，其诗被称为“诗史”。杜甫与李白合称“李杜”，为了跟另外两位诗人李商隐与杜牧即“小李杜”区别开来，杜甫与李白又合称“大李杜”。他忧国忧民，人格高尚，他的约1400余首诗被保留了下来，诗艺精湛，在中国古典诗歌中备受推崇，影响深远。759-766年间曾居成都，后世有杜甫草堂纪念。
