译文
滩头的细草连接着稀疏的林木，渔船在恶浪里欲沉欲浮。
沙鸥白鹭在江上飞来飞去，还在寻找宿眠的旧浦。岂知去年的江岸，今年已成沙洲江渚。
注释
浪恶：形容浪翻腾很猛。罾（zēng）舡（chuán）：渔船。罾，鱼网。
宿鹭眠鸥：这里指欲睡的水鸟。鸥，一作“洲”。飞：一作“非”。
沙觜（zuǐ）：谓岸沙与水相接处。觜，嘴。
浪淘沙·滩头细草接疏林鉴赏
《浪淘沙》是较早的词调之一，形式与七言绝句同，内容则多借江水流沙以抒发人生感慨，属于“本意”（调名等于词题）一类。皇甫松此词抒写人世沧桑之感，表现得相当蕴藉。
首句写沙滩远景：滩头细草茸茸，遥接岸上一派疏林。细草初生，可见是春天，也约略暗示那是一带新沙。次句写滩边近景：春潮带雨，挟泥沙而俱下，水昏流急，是扳臀罾捕鱼的好时节。但由于波浪险恶，罾船时时有被弄翻的危险。两句一远一近，一静一动，通过细草、疏林、荒滩、罾船、浪涛等景物，展现出一幅生动的荒沙野水的图画，虽然没有一字点出时间，却能表达一种暮色苍茫之景。正因为如此，三句写到“宿鹭眠鸥”就显得非常自然。大江有小口别通为“浦”。浦口沙头，乃水鸟栖息之所。三句初似客观写景，而联系末句读来，“旧浦”二字则大有意味。今之“沙嘴”乃“去年”之“江心”，可见“旧浦”实为新沙。沙嘴虽新，转瞬已目之为泪，言外便有余意。按散文语法，末句应为“沙嘴去年是江心”。这里语序倒置，不仅音韵和婉协律，而“沙嘴是江心”的造语也更有奇警，言外之意更显。
偌大感慨，词中并未直接道出，而是系之于咏风浪之恶，沙沉之快。而写沙沉之快也未直说，却通过飞鸟归宿，认新沙为旧浦来表现。手法纡曲，读来颇有情致。前三句均为形象画面，末句略就桑田沧海之意一点，但点而未破，读者却不难参悟其中遥深的感慨，也就觉得那人世沧桑的大道理被它“一语破尽”。

皇甫松，字子奇，自号檀栾子，睦州新安（今浙江淳安）人。他是工部侍郎皇甫湜之子，宰相牛僧孺之外甥。《新唐书·艺文志》著录皇甫松《醉乡日月》3卷。其词今存20余首，见于《花间集》、《唐五代词》。事迹见《历代诗馀》。 今有王国维辑《檀栾子词》一卷。
