译文
别后的相思之情绵绵不绝，如丝般纷乱，让他辗转反侧，不能入睡。更何况好不容易入睡后，竟然还梦到了家乡，使人越发感伤。起来倾听那边塞半夜的雨声，却回忆起在家中小楼上我们挑灯夜话的情景。
认真地书写，对你的思念格外分明，天生的多愁善感使自己变得多情。起身用嘴中的热气暖手，将家书封好，偏偏看到“鸳鸯”二字时，心痛又被触动，手又僵了起来。
注释
于中好：即《鹧鸪天》，词牌名。双调五十五字，前后阕各三平韵，一韵到底。上阕第三四句、下阕第一二句一般要求对仗。也是曲牌名。
如丝：形容绵绵不绝。
孤枕：独眠。边城：临近边界的城市。
紫塞：边塞．长城。
红楼：指绘有艳丽彩画的楼阁。这里代指家中的楼阁。
“天将”句：事实是多情酿愁味。倒转其辞，益见愁浓，亦合平仄。
呵手：用嘴中热气暖手。封题：物品封装妥当后，在封口处题签，特指在书札的封口上签押，引申为书札的代称。
鸳鸯（yuān yāng）：伴侣、情侣的意象。冰：此谓冰结，手僵不能动，意为触动心病，伤感之至。

词或作于康熙二十一年（1682年）秋月，纳兰去梭龙勘察，塞上怀远，心念闺中妻子而作。

于中好·别绪如丝梦不成鉴赏
上片写词人对家人的怀念。首句“别绪如丝睡不成”，情意坦诚，多情公子这时正在塞上，分离后的思念令他辗转反侧，无法入眠，而“那堪孤枕梦边城”一句就更进一步地表明了纳兰的愁思之深。一般说来，“梦边城”应当解释为“梦见边城”，可是联系上下文，应该解释成“梦于边城”。孤枕难眠，所以纳兰索性披衣起床，去倾听那夜半塞外的冷雨声。但邢夜雨声就像伤心人拨弄琴瑟的弦声，悲凄彻骨，每一声都敲打着纳兰那颗满是悲愁的心，也更加引发了他的思念，令他不由想起了家里的妻子，心想这时的她会不会也正在想念着自己。
下片从书信落笔，进一步抒发了自己的相思情怀。这时的思念之情好像春天的杂草似的，疯狂生长，所以纳兰拿起了笔，铺开纸笺，写下了一首抒发自己离愁别绪的书信寄给妻子。词中的“书郑重，恨分明”显得语义不清，令人疑惑，谁又能明白当时的纳兰要表达什么意思。“天将愁味酿多情”一句将纳兰的思念和悲愁推向高潮，意思是说：就连上天都在用滴滴答答的绵密雨声来酝酿自己的悲苦。这个“酿”字，可谓是全词的词眼。“偏到鸳鸯两字冰”意为一想到我们天各一方，相见遥遥，又不禁彻骨寒心了。塞外苦寒，纳兰好不容易写完信，呵着冰冷的双手粘好了信封，在为信封签押时，笔尖却被冻住了，四周一片冰冷的寒意。情深意重笔轻，落下“鸳鸯”二字时，心中更凄楚。从“天将愁味酿多情”、“偏到鸳鸯两字冰”来看，颇含悠然不尽之意，“鸳鸯两字冰”，化虚为实，深刻地表达了相思的愁苦。
全词对爱侣的萦思写得回环婉曲，意韵别生。“偏到鸳鸯两字冰”的描画，意味悠长，既渲染出边塞的严寒景象，也折射出心中的清冷景况，亦摹写出这份苦寒对恩爱伴侣儿女情长的阻隔，多重意蕴缭绕字里行间，情韵悠远。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
