湖海之滨冷风次得泥土冻裂，枯桐叶飘落了，树枝折下来。
远远听到横笛声却看不到人，把红旗一直插上天山头顶雪。
注释
从军行：乐府《相和歌辞·平调曲》名。歌词内容多写边塞情况和将士生活。
海：古代西域的沙漠、大湖泊都叫“海”。这里指天山脚下的湖泊。
折：断。
横笛：横吹的一种笛子。
直上：一直向上、向前。
从军行创作背景
陈羽生活的年代正处于中唐，其时，唐代边患不断，描写战士生活的诗歌层出不穷，这首诗即使作者早年宦游，任职幕府时所作。

从军行鉴赏
这是一首写风雪行军的仄韵绝句，全诗写得十分壮美。一、二句写从军将士面对的环境极为严酷：天山脚下寒风劲吹，湖边（“海畔”）冻泥纷纷裂开，梧桐树上的叶子已经刮光，枝梢被狂风折断。就在这一严酷的背景上，映出皑皑雪山，传出高亢嘹亮的笛声。诗人以这一笛声，就点出了这里也许有人的联想，同时又将人隐去，以“不见人”造成悬念：那风里传来的笛声究竟来自何处呢？从而自然转出末句：寻声望去，只见在天山白雪的映衬下，一行红旗正在向峰巅移动。风雪中红旗不乱，已足见出从军将士的精神，“直上”的动态描写，更使画面生机勃然，高昂的士气、一往无前的精神，尽在这“直上”二字中溢出。
这首诗在艺术上善于映衬与妙用指代。一、二句对环境的描写，竭力突出自然环境的恶劣，用浓重氛围映衬从军将士无所畏惧的精神风貌。如果是在风和日丽、山明水净的条件下行军，便难能见出士气的昂扬坚强了。适应氛围描写的需要，在押韵上采用了入声的韵脚，一、二、四句末一字入韵，“裂”、“折”、“雪”都是入声“屑”韵字，韵尾为舌尖音，收音短促，适宜于抒写或悲或壮的诗情。
前两句的氛围描写与入声韵的选用，为抒写壮美的诗情打下了良好的基础。但映衬毕竟是陪宾，描写的成败，关键在于作为主体的三、四两句。后两句意在写人，却不正面写出，更不和盘托出，而只是拈出与人相关的二物——“横笛”、“红旗”，不言人而自有人在。这种指代手法的运用，既节省了笔墨，又丰富了作品的艺术容量，给了读者广阔的想象的空间。军中物品无数，只写笛、旗二者，不仅出于只有笛声、红旗才会被远处发现，还因为只有此二物最足以表见行军将士的精神。在写法上，先写“横笛闻声”，后写“红旗直上”，符合人们对远处事物的注意往往“先声后形”的一般习惯。特别巧妙的是“不见人”三字的嵌入。“闻声”而寻人，寻而“不见”，从而形成文势的跌宕，使末句的动人景象更为显豁地表现出来。
这首《从军行》兼有诗情画意之美，莽莽大山，成行红旗，雪的白，旗的红，山的静，旗的动，展示出一幅壮美的风雪行军图。

[唐]（约公元八O六年前后在世）字不详，江东人。生卒年均不详，约唐宪宗元和初前后在世。工诗，与上人灵一交游，唱答颇多。贞元八年，（公元七九二年）二人登进士第；而他与韩愈、王涯等共为龙虎榜。后仕历东宫卫佐。《全唐诗》之三百四十八一卷传世。
