译文
倦客如今已老矣，而春天还像旧时一样，每年都如期来到人间。可是我的心情已与过去大不相同，只能发出无可奈何花落去的感叹了。回忆以前经常在西湖一带泛舟西湖，观景看花，饮酒听歌，几无虚日。
云见芳草触动愁思，不免忆起着春罗湘裙的歌童舞女。现在的一些歌伎舞女，她们打扮得比旧时歌伎舞女更加娇艳。西湖边上的婀娜柳枝临风婆娑而舞，只能令人追忆当年之歌喉舞腰而已。
注释
临江仙：词牌名。双调，五十八字或六十字，皆用平韵。
倦客：词人自指。
南陌：游乐之地。
翠楼：词中指妓馆歌楼。
远眼愁随芳草，湘裙忆着春罗：云见芳草触动愁思，不免忆起着春罗湘裙的歌童舞女，勾引起对昔年繁华生活的缅怀。
婆娑（suō）：盘旋起舞。

临江仙·倦客如今老矣创作背景
开禧二年（1206年），韩侂胄举兵北伐，并败兵而回，词人受到牵连，被免职，发配边疆。根据张镦在嘉泰元年（1201年）辛酉所作的《梅溪词序》推断，词人失势之时应该已近50岁。《临江仙·倦客如今老矣》当作于词人被罢免、失势之后。

临江仙·倦客如今老矣鉴赏
上片首句“倦客如今老矣”。词人自称“倦客”，是由于经历了生活的挫折，对人世产生了厌倦情绪的缘故。“旧时可奈春何”，春天每年都如期而至，但词人的心情却不同于往年，感叹的意味很重。下文转入回忆。“几曾湖上不经过。看花南陌醉，驻马翠楼歌”说往年经常在西湖一带游赏观光，几无虚日。“看花南陌醉，驻马翠楼歌”是全词中最精采的语句。它用华丽的字面勾画出了一幅由色彩、声音和动态所组成的形象鲜明的生活图景，概括了词人过去那段看花赏景、饮酒听歌的繁华热闹的生活经历。
写到下片，词人又把回忆的内容集中在歌妓之类的人物身上。“远眼愁随芳草，湘裙忆着春罗”两句，由牛希济《生查子》的“记得绿罗裙，处处怜芳草”演化而来，词人着意增添了“愁”、“忆”两个字，从而使他重新写出来的词句的抒情色彩更加浓烈，抒情作用也更加直接。“枉教装得旧时多”一句，起着由回忆过去转到述说当前的过渡和连接的作用，尽管现在仍可看到一些装饰得比旧时模样更好的歌妓舞女，但却引不起词人旧日的欢快情绪了。结尾的“向来歌舞地，犹见柳婆娑”要与上片的“看花”、“驻马”两句合看，因为它们之间有联系，也有对比，而从中展示的则是一种由于今昔变化而引发出来的感叹与悲伤。
从风格看，这首词只是继承了唐五代北宋以来的婉约派词风，境界比较狭窄。但炼词造句，颇为出色，尤以上片结尾二句“看花南陌醉，驻马翠楼歌”，值得称道。全词以感叹直人，以柳婆娑作结，中间插入昔时醉酒、骑马、听歌的回忆，虚实相间，反复烘染，感伤情味较浓。

史达祖1163～1220？年，字邦卿，号梅溪，汴（河南开封）人。一生未中第，早年任过幕僚。韩侂胄当国时，他是最亲信的堂吏，负责撰拟文书。韩败，史牵连受黥刑，死于贫困中。史达祖的词以咏物为长，其中不乏身世之感。他还在宁宗朝北行使金，这一部分的北行词，充满了沉痛的家国之感。今传有《梅溪词》。存词112首。
