沅江的波浪连接着武冈，送你不觉得有离别的伤感。
你我一路相连的青山共沐风雨，同顶一轮明月又何曾身处两地呢？
注释
侍御：官职名。
通波（流）：四处水路相通。
武冈：县名，在湖南省西部。
两乡：作者与柴侍御分处的两地。
送柴侍御创作背景
这首诗是诗人被贬到龙标（今湖南省黔阳县）时的作品。这位柴侍御将要从龙标前往武冈，诗人写下这首诗为他送行。
送柴侍御鉴赏
“沅水通波接武冈，送君不觉有离伤”，点出了友人要去的地方，语调流畅而轻快，“流水”与“通波”蝉联而下，显得江河相连，道无艰阻，再加上一个“接”字，更给人一种两地比邻相近之感，这是为下一句作势。龙标、武冈虽然两地相“接”，但毕竟是隔山隔水的“两乡”。
“青山一道同云雨，明月何曾是两乡”。运用灵巧的笔法，一句肯定，一句反诘，反复致意，恳切感人。也承接了一二句，表达出了诗人的思念之情。如果说诗的第一句意在表现两地相近，那么这两句更是云雨相同，明月共睹，这种迁想妙得的诗句，既富有浓郁的抒情韵味，又有它鲜明的个性。
这首诗通过想象来创造各种形象，以化“远”为“近”，使“两乡”为“一乡”。语意新颖，出人意料，然亦在情理之中，因为它蕴涵的正是人分两地、情同一心的深情厚谊。而这种情谊也是别后相思的种子。又何况那青山云雨、明月之夜，更能撩起诗人对友人的思念，一面是对朋友的宽慰，另一面已将深挚不渝的友情和别后的思念，渗透在字里行间了。
读者可以感到诗人未必没有“离伤”，但是为了宽慰友人，也只有将“离伤”强压心底，不让自己的“离伤”感染对方。更可能是对方已经表现出“离伤”之情，才使得工于用意、善于言情的诗人用乐观开朗又深情婉转的语言，以减轻对方的离愁。这是更体贴、更感人的友情。正是如此，“送君不觉有离伤”，更能让人感到无比的亲切和难得的深情。这种“道是无情却有情”的抒情手法，比那一览无余的直说更加耐人寻味。

王昌龄 (698— 756），字少伯，河东晋阳（今山西太原）人。盛唐著名边塞诗人，后人誉为“七绝圣手”。早年贫贱，困于农耕，年近不惑，始中进士。初任秘书省校书郎，又中博学宏辞，授汜水尉，因事贬岭南。与李白、高适、王维、王之涣、岑参等交厚。开元末返长安，改授江宁丞。被谤谪龙标尉。安史乱起，为刺史闾丘所杀。其诗以七绝见长，尤以登第之前赴西北边塞所作边塞诗最著，有“诗家夫子王江宁”之誉（亦有“诗家天子王江宁”的说法）。
