《鹊桥仙·沉沉戍鼓》鉴赏
原文
沉沉戍鼓，萧萧厩马，起视霜华满地。猛然记得别伊时，正今夕、邮亭天气。
北征车辙，南征归梦，知是调停无计。人间事事不堪凭，但除却、无凭两字。
赏析
这首词的上片，写征人在驿馆中听到远处传来的戍鼓声和厩内马鸣，起来看到满地寒霜，突起思乡之念，想起了出门时和妻子分别时也正是这样一个寒冷的夜晚。“猛然记得别伊时，正今日邮亭天气”似从韦庄《女冠子》的“正是去年今日，别君时”化来，当然也是写爱情的。“戍鼓”和“厩马”联想到长途劳顿，“霜”的肃杀之气和“满地”的无所遁形有一种不安的感觉。
如果说上片是以感发的意象取胜的话，那么下片就走向理性的思索。不过王国维能够做到在理性思索之中仍不失感发的力量。
“北征车彻，南征归梦”是说，我的人在向北方走，我的心却在向南方走，因为我所思念的那个伊留在南方。相反的方向，“车辙”和“归梦”是现实与愿望的反差。所以这两句所表现的，是一种理智与感情、现实与愿望的矛盾，而这种矛盾是难以解决的。“调停无计”已经是无可奈何，“知是”更有一种清醒的疼痛。作者悲欢的加上一句“但除却无凭两字”，无凭就是人生的绝对真理，在这个世界上没有永恒的东西，只有“无凭”这个概念是永恒的。作者想以“人间事事不堪凭，但除却无凭二字”的语态来表达空空的境界。
