"若把西湖比西子，淡妆浓抹总相宜"，玉局翁诗也。填词者窃其意，演作世所传唱《水仙子》四首，仍以西施二字为断章，盛行歌楼乐肆间，每恨其不能佳也。且意西湖西子，有秦无人之感。崧麓有樵者，闻而是之，即以春、夏、秋、冬赋四章，命之曰《西湖四时渔歌》。其约，首句韵以儿字，时字为之次，西施二字为句绝，然后一洗而空之。邀同赋，谨如约。湖山堂下闹竿儿，烂熳韶华三月时，朝来风雨催春事。把莺花撺断死，映苏堤红绿参差。浅绛雪缄桃萼，嫩黄金搓柳丝，风流煞斗草的西施。虾须帘卷水亭儿，玉枕桃笙梦觉时，荷香勾引薰风至。掬清涟雪藕丝，嫩凉生璧月琼枝。鸾刀切银丝脍，蚁香浮碧玉卮，受用煞避暑的西施。西风逗入耍窗儿，一扇新凉暑退时，白蘋红蓼多情思。写秋光无限诗，占平湖一抹胭脂。荷缺翠青摇柄，桂飘香金缀枝，快活煞玩月的西施。梅花初试胆瓶儿，正是逋郎得句时，彤云把断山中寺。软香尘不到此，怯清寒林下风姿。侵素体添肌粟，妨云鬟老鬓丝，清绝煞赏雪的西施。
寓意武昌元贞
楚天空阔楚山长，一度怀人一断肠，此心不在肩舆上。倩东风过武昌，助离愁烟水茫茫。竹上雨湘妃泪，树间禽蜀帝王，无限思量。
人言不向武昌居，我欲年来食贱鱼，那堪鹦鹉洲边住。锦鸳鸯为伴们，是烟波江上渔夫。得一舸鸱夷去，载苎罗山下女，便改姓陶朱。
武昌官柳正青青，只与行人管送迎，等闲攀折浑无定。舞东风过此生，奈柔条系绊人情。爱眉黛烟中翠，忆纤腰掌上轻，恨满邮亭。
贞元旧曲日停歌，只恐青衫泪更多，等闲又见菱花破。玲珑奈尔何，较些儿病了维摩。愁暗逐西飞翼，恨长随东逝波，著甚消磨。
为平章南谷公寿福楼赋
朱帘画栋倚穹苍，带砺河山接四王，那堪辈辈为丞相。是皇家真栋梁，看灵椿丹桂齐芳。寿域年年固，福源日日长，永坐都堂。
楼名寿福压钱塘，中有高居异姓王，朝朝北阙频瞻望。启丹诚一瓣香，对西山遥祝吾皇。愿基业隆三代，更烟尘净四方，寿福无疆。
朱楼迢递接长空，家世于今谁比隆？阴功虽是前王种。嗣声华正在公，更门阑喜色重重。男已兆承家凤，女欣逢择婿龙，寿福无穷。

刘时中 [元] （约元成宗大德年间前后在世），洪都（今江西南昌）人，元代散曲家。生卒年、生平、字号均不详，约元成宗大德年间前后在世。官学士，时中工作曲，今存小令六十余支，套数三四首，以水仙子西湖四时渔歌最著名。
