洞房深，画屏灯照，山色凝翠沉沉。听夜雨冷滴芭蕉，惊断红窗好梦，龙烟细飘绣衾。辞恩久归长信，凤帐萧疏，椒殿闲扇。
译文：在后妃居住的幽深的房里；灯光照着绘有图画的屏风，屏风上的山色一片浓绿，显得格外古雅庄重。听见冰冷的夜雨敲打芭蕉声，惊断了房里她的好梦；醒来看见攀龙香炉的香烟，在绣花缎被上空飘升。失去了皇帝的恩宠啊，她已久住长信宫中，帷帐里萧条凄冷；原来的椒殿闲置无用，门儿关锁冷冷清清。辇路苔侵。绣帘垂，迟迟漏传丹禁
注释：洞房：深邃的内室。凝翠：凝聚着绿色。沉沉，茂盛、浓重貌。惊断句：谓雨打芭蕉，惊醒宫中女子的好梦。龙烟：龙脑香燃烧时散发的烟气。龙脑，又称瑞脑、冰片，系从龙脑香树干中提取膏汁制成。辞恩句：谓失宠。长信，汉宫名。椒殿句：谓宫门常闭。椒殿，后妃居住的宫殿，以椒和泥涂壁，取温香多子之义扁，关闭。
舜华偷悴，翠鬟羞整，愁坐望处，金舆渐远，何时彩仗重临？正消魂，梧桐又移翠阴。
译文：皇帝车驾来的路上，长满了苔藓一层。绣帘默默地低垂，过很长时间才听见，一声更漏传进宫中。她的容颜木槿花似的，憔悴在不知不觉之中。她羞于梳理乌黑的发髻，独坐呆望满面愁情；伤感的目光注视之处，皇帝乘坐的车渐渐失去行踪。不知何时才能盼到，皇帝仪仗重临再降恩宠？啊，她正在悲苦地心驰神往，翠绿的梧桐又移动了阴影。

杜牧（公元803－约852年），字牧之，号樊川居士，汉族，京兆万年（今陕西西安）人，唐代诗人。杜牧人称“小杜”，以别于杜甫。与李商隐并称“小李杜”。因晚年居长安南樊川别墅，故后世称“杜樊川”，著有《樊川文集》。
