英英妙舞腰肢软。章台柳、昭阳燕。锦衣冠盖，绮堂筵会，是处千金争选。顾香砌、丝管初调，倚轻风、佩环微颤。
译文：英英的舞姿真是美妙，就像章台柳之袅娜，似昭阳飞燕之轻柔。多少有钱有势的人，富贵人家的筵会上，都争着以千金之价选她去作陪。只见她回头看了看，音乐开始飘扬，她随之翩翩起舞，似杨柳扶风，身上的佩环也随着舞蹈微微颤动。
注释：英英：不详。当为词人虚拟的歌妓名。章台：本为汉代长安一条繁华街道名。昭阳燕，指赵飞燕。这里是以赵飞燕之“柔若无骨”与前句“腰肢软”相照应的。是处：到处，处处。
乍入霓裳促遍。逞盈盈、渐催檀板。慢垂霞袖，急趋莲步，进退奇容千变。算何止、倾国倾城，暂回眸、万人断肠。
译文：突然转入了《霓裳羽衣曲》中节奏急促的段落，她更加施展出自己柔媚轻盈的身段，紧紧地依檀板声而舞。英英一会儿慢舒广袖，一会儿急动莲步，进退之间仪态万方，表情丰富多变，妩媚多姿。看英英之美，何止是倾国倾城，她突然回头的一刹那，足以令万人为之消魂！
注释：霓裳：即《霓裳羽衣曲》，传说是唐玄宗聆听天乐后而制成。促、遍：古代音乐术语，促是促拍；遍是大曲的段落。盈盈：仪态美好的样子。盈，通“赢”。檀板：檀木所制的拍板。莲步：这里指舞步。倾国倾城：喻指绝美的女子。断肠：此指为舞者的美艳而绝倒。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
