横塘棹穿艳锦，引鸳鸯弄水。断霞晚、笑折花归，绀纱低护灯蕊。润玉瘦、冰轻倦浴，斜拕凤股盘云坠。听银床声细。梧桐渐搅凉思。
译文： 昔日住在横塘，与心爱的人日日泛舟湖上，穿梭在艳锦一般的荷花丛中，相偎看鸳鸯戏水。直到晚霞升起暮色将至，才恋恋不舍与美人折一枝荷花相携归去。夜色渐浓，纱罩中透露出的柔和烛光朦胧了卧室，美人出浴后肤若凝脂发髻斜坠，干娇百媚。两人卧听井栏边的梧桐随风坠落的细语微声，仿佛感到了秋天来临的丝丝凉意。
注释： 莺啼序：词牌名，又名“丰乐楼”。共四片二百四十字，第一片八句五仄韵，第二片十三句四仄韵，第三片十五句四仄韵，第四片十五句五仄韵。赵修全：生平事迹不详。横塘：地名。在今江苏苏州西南。绀纱：天青色的灯纱罩。斜拕凤股盘云坠：形容美人浴后凤钗斜抡，发髻如盘云，摇石摇欲坠之貌。拕：同“拖”，牵引；盘云：发髻如盘云。银床：井床。
窗隙流光，冉冉迅羽，诉空梁燕子。误惊起、风竹敲门，故人还又不至。记琅玕、新诗细掐，早陈迹、香痕纤指。怕因循，罗扇恩疏，又生秋意。
译文： 时间飞逝，流光容易把人抛。燕子再度飞回，却是人去梁空巢已倾。他在旧屋中猛地听到了敲门声，以为是美人归来，便起身推门迎接，才发现是风吹翠竹拍打在了门上，故人并未回来。遥想当年佳人坐倚窗前用纤纤玉指在竹竿上刻写新诗，那些残留的痕迹如今已是陈旧不堪。当初总怕韶华易逝，有朝一日情意断绝，却不料一语成谶。
注释： 冉冉迅羽：时光流逝如疾驰而过的飞鸟。琅玕：美竹别名。新诗细掐：刻新诗于竹竿上。罗扇恩疏：即秋扇被摒弃。
西湖旧日，画舸频移，叹几萦梦寐。霞佩冷，叠澜不定，麝霭飞雨，乍湿鲛绡，暗盛红泪。綀单夜共，波心宿处，琼箫吹月霓裳舞，向明朝、未觉花容悴。嫣香易落，回头澹碧锁烟，镜空画罗屏里。
译文： 后来在西湖与另一位佳人共度的日子，也时常魂牵梦萦惹人空叹。彼时两人亦常常泛舟湖上，看醉人景色，享人间乐事。潮起潮落，烟雨流云，季节变换，不时惹得佳人泪湿巾帕，更显楚楚动人。天黑后两人依旧厮守在船上，共宿水波深处，佳人在月下为悦己者翩翩起舞，即使缱绻到天色明亮，依旧容光焕发没有一丝困乏倦意。花开注定会谢，当时的情深意长和海誓山盟终究烟消云散，再回头不过又一段镜花水月的露水情缘罢了。
注释： 画舸：游船。叠澜不定：雨打在湖面、荷叶上，水、叶摇漾。麝霭：细雨荷塘的霭霭香雾。鲛绡：丝绸手帕。红泪：悲伤的眼泪。见晋王嘉《拾遗记》载，曹丕宠美女薛灵芸。薛别父母，“以玉唾壶承泪，壶则红色。既发常山，及至京师，壶中泪凝虫口血。”綀单：用绿葛制成的被单。霓裳舞：霓裳羽衣曲，舞曲名。词中指荷花随风摇曳，若翩翩起舞。悴：憔悴。嫣香：指花娇艳芳香。镜空：镜中花之意。
残蝉度曲，唱彻西园，也感红怨翠。念省惯、吴宫幽憩。暗柳追凉，晓岸参斜，露零沤起。丝萦寸藕，留连欢事。桃笙平展湘浪影，有昭华、秾李冰相倚。如今鬓点凄霜，半箧秋词，恨盈蠹纸。
译文： 庭院中的秋蝉声阵阵入耳，恍然想起往日西园幽会时的蝉鸣，仿若为他们的谈情说爱伴奏唱曲。又忆起在吴宫的垂柳岸边与情人缠绵幽憩，从天黑到天明，夜夜欢好。那时有美丽妖娆的歌妓陪伴身边，与她沉醉在男欢女爱中，翻云覆雨，是何其逍遥快乐；如今两鬓已如霜染，每每念及往事，抑郁难当，遂写下一首又一首悲凉的诗词，愤恨充满了那一页页的旧纸笺。挚爱过的女子们皆未能相守相伴，一个个出现在他的生命里，然后又离去，再也不见，只留他独自挥笔抒愤，缅怀往事。
注释： 参斜：参星西斜，天将晓。露零：降落的露珠。沤起：浮起的水泡。露、沤皆转瞬即逝，亦以喻人生短促。桃笙：用桃竹织成的凉席。昭华：古乐器，俗名玉管。秾李：指繁盛的李花，亦代指艳妆女子。箧：长方形藏物竹器，大为箱，小为箧。蠹纸：被蠹虫蚀过的纸或诗笺。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
