驿外断桥边，寂寞开无主。已是黄昏独自愁，更著风和雨。
译文：驿站之外的断桥边，梅花孤单寂寞地绽开了花，无人过问。暮色降临，梅花无依无靠，已经够愁苦了，却又遭到了风雨的摧残。
注释：驿外：指荒僻、冷清之地。驿：驿站，供驿马或官吏中途休息的专用建筑。断桥：残破的桥。一说“断”通“簖”，簖桥乃是古时在为拦河捕鱼蟹而设簖之处所建之桥。寂寞：孤单冷清。无主：自生自灭，无人照管和玩赏。更：副词，又，再。著：同“着”，遭受，承受。更著：又遭到。
无意苦争春，一任群芳妒。零落成泥碾作尘，只有香如故。
译文：梅花并不想费尽心思去争艳斗宠，对百花的妒忌与排斥毫不在乎。即使凋零了，被碾作泥土，又化作尘土了，梅花依然和往常一样散发出缕缕清香。
注释：无意：不想，没有心思。自己不想费尽心思去争芳斗艳。苦：尽力，竭力。争春：与百花争奇斗艳。此指争权。一任：全任，完全听凭；一：副词，全，完全，没有例外。任：动词，任凭。群芳：群花、百花。百花，这里借指诗人政敌──苟且偷安的主和派。妒：嫉妒。零落：凋谢，陨落。碾：轧烂，压碎。作尘：化作灰土。香如故：香气依旧存在。

陆游（1125—1210），字务观，号放翁。汉族，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，南宋著名诗人。少时受家庭爱国思想熏陶，高宗时应礼部试，为秦桧所黜。孝宗时赐进士出身。中年入蜀，投身军旅生活，官至宝章阁待制。晚年退居家乡。创作诗歌今存九千多首，内容极为丰富。著有《剑南诗稿》、《渭南文集》、《南唐书》、《老学庵笔记》等。
