缘底事、抛了全潮，认一浮沤作瀛渤。本源自性天真佛。只些些、妄想中埋没。贪他眼花阳艳，谁信道、本来无物。一旦茫然，终被阎罗老子相屈。便纵有、千种机筹，怎免伊唐突。
译文：孜孜矻矻。向无明里、强作窠窟。浮名浮利何济，堪留恋处，轮回仓猝。幸有明空妙觉，可弹指超出。勤勤恳恳不眠休，向来胸无大志，只是勉强做着这事业。功名利禄皆是过眼云烟，对于身处困顿的人来说没有任何帮助，哪里有值得留恋的地方，只觉时光飞逝。幸有那明理静心的佛学，让我能在精神上超越他人。一旦茫然，终被阎()罗老子相屈。便纵有、千种机筹，怎免伊唐突。经历过怎样的事情，才能像现在这样再无如潮水般汹涌起伏的情绪，人的一生就像那渤海上的泡沫般短暂消散。世事变迁、沧海桑田，但事物的根本是不变的。只是那少许的心中梦想已幻灭。羡慕他人眼中荣华富贵，谁又相信这世间本来无物呢？一旦心中茫然无归处，易受功名利禄所引诱。所以纵使有千种计谋在心头，也难抵突如其来的变故。
注释：孜孜：勤勉；不懈怠。矻矻：勤劳不懈貌。明：目标，意志所趋。强作：勉力而做，出自《孔丛子·执节》。窠窟：动物栖身之所。喻指事业。济：对困苦的人加以帮助。堪：能，可以，足以。仓猝：匆忙急迫。弹指：捻弹手指作声。佛家多以喻时间短暂。超出：超越别人。

王安石（1021年12月18日－1086年5月21日），字介甫，号半山，谥文，封荆国公。世人又称王荆公。汉族，北宋抚州临川人（今江西省抚州市临川区邓家巷人），中国北宋著名政治家、思想家、文学家、改革家，唐宋八大家之一。欧阳修称赞王安石：“翰林风月三千首，吏部文章二百年。老去自怜心尚在，后来谁与子争先。”传世文集有《王临川集》、《临川集拾遗》等。其诗文各体兼擅，词虽不多，但亦擅长，且有名作《桂枝香》等。而王荆公最得世人哄传之诗句莫过于《泊船瓜洲》中的“春风又绿江南岸，明月何时照我还。”
