南北朝：鲍照
伤禽恶弦惊，倦客恶离声。
译文：受伤禽鸟畏惧惊弦，倦行旅客厌倦离声。
注释：伤禽：为箭所伤的飞禽。这里用的是更赢射雁的故事。《战国策。楚策》记载：更赢以无箭的空弓射得了一只大雁，他说他罚邰希葜那只大雁飞得慢是因为伤口痛，鸣声悲是因为失了群。在这种情况下，大雁一听到弓弦声就惊慌高飞，于是由于伤口的剧痛而掉了下来。恶（wù）：厌恶。弦惊：弓弦放开时发出的声响。倦客：倦游之人。离声：离歌之声。
离声断客情，宾御皆涕零。
译文：离歌之声令客伤情，送着行者皆都涕零。
注释：断客情：即伤客心，使行人伤心。宾：宾客，指送行者。御：侍者。
涕零心断绝，将去复还诀。
译文：涕泣交流肝肠断绝，即将离去再做别语。
注释：心断绝：肠断心碎，以喻悲痛到了极点。去：离去。诀：话别。
一息不相知，何况异乡别。
译文：片刻不能相聚一起，何况他乡长久别离？
注释：一息：喘息之间，顷刻。不相知：指不在一起。
遥遥征驾远，杳杳白日晚。
译文：漫漫长路征驾渐远，天色昏暗白日已晚。
注释：征驾：远行的车子。杳杳：深远幽暗的样子。
居人掩闺卧，行子夜中饭。
译文：路旁人家掩门长卧，远行游子刚吃晚餐。
注释：闺：闺门，内室之门。夜中：夜半。夜：用作动词，穿的意思。饭：用作动词，用饭。
野风吹草木，行子心肠断。
译文：野风呼号吹动草木，远行游子肝肠寸断。
食梅常苦酸，衣葛常苦寒。
译文：吃梅常常苦于味酸，穿戈每每苦于凉寒。
注释：梅：梅子。葛：葛布，一种做单衣用的夏布，用葛茎的纤维织成。
丝竹徒满坐，忧人不解颜。
译文：徒有音乐高朋满座，怀忧之人不能展颜。
注释：丝竹：弦乐器和管乐器，指音乐。解颜：开颜，指欢笑。这二句是说空有满座的人演奏乐曲，也不能使愁人心情快乐。忧人：即指游子。不解颜：欢笑不起来。
长歌欲自慰，弥起长恨端。
译文：放声高歌聊以自宽，愈发引起愁绪万端。
注释：弥：益，更加。恨：遗憾，不满意。端：头绪。

鲍照（约415年～466年）南朝宋文学家，与颜延之、谢灵运合称“元嘉三大家”。字明远，汉族，祖籍东海（治所在今山东郯城西南，辖区包括今江苏涟水，久居建康（今南京）。家世贫贱，临海王刘子顼镇荆州时，任前军参军。刘子顼作乱，照为乱兵所杀。他长于乐府诗，其七言诗对唐代诗歌的发展起了很重要的作用。有《鲍参军集》。
