唐代：栖白
寻常三五夜，不是不婵娟。
注释：寻常：平常。三五：一十五，指农历每月十五日，通常称为“望日”，此日当太阳西下时，月亮正从东面升起，呈现出日月东西相望的情景。婵娟：本意指女子容貌姿态的美好，此处借指月光柔曼秀美。有时即以“婵娟”代指月亮。
及至中秋满，还胜别夜圆。
注释：中秋：本为农历八月十五日，此处扩展其意指八月十八日。
清光凝有露，皓魄爽无烟。
注释：皓魄：皎洁的月亮。魄通霸，是月始生或将灭时的微光，此处代指月亮或月光。
自古人皆望，年来又一年。

栖白，僧唐代人，生卒年不详，越中（今浙江）人。常与李频、许棠、姚合、李洞、贾岛、无可等诗人往来赠答。唐宣宗大中年间住京城荐福寺，为内供奉，赐紫袈裟。工诗，尚苦吟。时人张乔谓其“篇章名不朽”。《全唐诗》共录其诗16首。
