枫林凋晚叶，关河迥，楚客惨将归。望一川暝霭，雁声哀怨；半规凉月，人影参差。酒醒后，泪花销凤蜡，风幕卷金泥。砧杵韵高，唤回残梦；绮罗香减，牵起馀悲。
译文：深秋的傍晚，枫树林里的叶子在凋落。山川的路途是那样遥远。我怀着凄惨的心情，即将离别这客居的异地，回去了。举目远望，但见江面上笼罩着浓重的暮霭，宿雁的叫声是那样哀怨。在半规凉月的微光里，送行人们的参差身影，还依稀可辨卷。当一觉醒来，酒意消退了。陪伴我的只有半截残烛，一摊蜡泪。烫金的帘幕正在随风舒卷。户外，很响的捣衣声驱散了我最后一丝幻觉。我忽然发觉她那熟悉的衣香已经消失了，禁不住又悲从中来。
注释：晚叶：深秋的树叶。关河，关塞山河。迥：辽远。楚客：作者自称。暝霭：傍晚的雾气。半规：半圆形。此指上弦月或下弦月。参差：散乱不齐貌。泪花：指蜡泪。销：消减。凤蜡：凤凰形状的蜡烛。金泥：以金粉饰物。砧杵：捣衣石与棒槌，指捣衣。韵：声音。残梦：酒醒后的迷惘状态。绮罗：素地花纹和有椒眼纹的丝织品，指女子衣裙。香减：衣香减弱，指恋人不在身边。馀悲：不尽伤感。馀：不尽，未完。
亭皋分襟地，难拚处，偏是掩面牵衣。何况怨怀长结，重见无期。想寄恨书中，银钩空满；断肠声里，玉筯还垂。多少暗愁密意，唯有天知。
译文：啊，水边的那块平地，我们最后分手的地方。还记得，当时我已是难舍难分，偏偏她还要牵着我的衣服，哀哀掩泣。更何况，此后我们只能永远怀着满腔的哀怨，却没有再见的机会了！可以预想，我们只能把深长的思念，密密麻麻地写在往来的书信中，或者去弹奏起一支愁肠欲断的曲子，让泪水默默她流下来。啊，这暗藏着的愁苦，这深密的感情怎样计量，只有老天才知道吧！
注释：亭皋：水边平地。亭，平；皋，水旁地。分襟：别离。难拚：难于割舍。偏：偏偏，助词。掩面牵衣：指昨夜恋人掩面而泣，牵衣惜别。长结：长期郁结不散。书：书信。银钩：字迹，指书法笔势道劲。玉筯：玉石筷子，喻美人眼泪。暗愁密意：无法言传的浓郁愁情。

周邦彦（1056年－1121年），中国北宋末期著名的词人，字美成，号清真居士，汉族，钱塘（今浙江杭州）人。历官太学正、庐州教授、知溧水县等。徽宗时为徽猷阁待制，提举大晟府。精通音律，曾创作不少新词调。作品多写闺情、羁旅，也有咏物之作。格律谨严。语言典丽精雅。长调尤善铺叙。为后来格律派词人所宗。旧时词论称他为“词家之冠”。有《清真集》传世。
