检历日，检历日，婚葬待决日家笔。欧西通国无日家，国强人富操何术。
我笑马迁传日者，史笔虽高见斯下。日家争宗鬼谷言，咸池死耗兼丧门。
又言葬地有方向，贪狼巨门兼旺相。贪狼巨门此何神，一神能管万万人。
不管生人偏管死，向人坟墓作风水。向之则吉背则凶，无乃偪仄神心胸。
西人事死道近墨，自亡迨葬廿四刻。若使人人待日家，丧堂已被巡捕逼。
葬亲我国胜欧西，必须择日真无稽。一心孝，一求福，一半欣幸一半哭。
我想此时孝子心，天人大战堪捧腹。因之追论司天台，好言休咎斯奇哉。
星流彗见皆言祸，占经论说真蠢才。立冬以后流星会，地球行入流星内。
占言星走主乱离，同治中兴却见之。彗星轨道有定处，一年各有应行度。
嘉庆之时彗竟天，何由国泰民丰年。须言人事舍天象，大家无作懵懵想。
天变由无一定殃，日家之说尤荒唐。惠迪从逆理归一，不必长年检历日。

林纾（1852～1924年），近代文学家、翻译家。字琴南，号畏庐，别署冷红生，福建闽县（今福州市）人。晚称蠡叟、践卓翁、六桥补柳翁、春觉斋主人。室名春觉斋、烟云楼等。光绪八年(1882年)举人，官教论，考进士不中。二十六年（1900年），在北京任五城中学国文教员。辛亥革命后，入北洋军人徐树铮所办正志学校教学，推重桐城派古文。曾创办“苍霞精舍”——今福建工程学院前身。著畏庐文集、诗集、春觉斋题画跋及小说笔记等。
