猛然间窗外传来声声报晓，怎不叫人心头着恼？
那报晓声唤出了太阳，在云树间挂得高高。
欢情正浓，不想分别时刻已到，心头渐渐被愁意笼罩。
千金良宵，再添数刻时分，老天又何必计较？销魂时节，就是多饶一更，想来也不妨大道。
如今恩爱的鸳鸯心惊胆跳，和美的情侣分道扬镳。
叫人舍不得离开被窝，好久才懒懒地着衣下床，挨一刻一刻是好。
注释
金乌：太阳。旧传日中有三足乌，故以“金乌”代日。
扶桑：神树名。《山海经》说它高三百里，植于咸池之中，树上可居十个太阳。
闰：在正常的时间中再增加出时间。阴阳：大道，此指道理。
牙床：象牙床。

蟾宫曲·晓起鉴赏
这首曲中的“晓起”，意味着男女情侣的“惊却”与“拆散”。起首一句点出“晓”字，就表现出强烈的感情和心绪。晨鸡报晓，本不值得大惊小怪，作者在前着一“无端”，在后怨一“何忙”。前者说明了“欢娱”的投入，后者则预示了“分散”的逼近。“唤却金乌，飞上扶桑”是对旭日东升的艺术性说法，也有讳言早晨来临的意味。这是作者《青楼十咏》中的一首，因为是露水夫妻，所以晓起有如此不舍。但全曲无浮浪轻薄之意，感情可谓深挚。元散曲在社会上的传播，青楼歌咏也颇起了一番作用。因此作者选上这样的题目，郑重其事地进行创造，是不该非议或奇怪的。
作者将“晓起”的“起”字仅在最后两句完成，在此前铺垫了良宵苦短、分别在即的背景，屡述了这一特定场景下惆怅惊惋、难分难舍的细腻心情，构思颇为新颖。尤其是“好良宵”、“喜时节”两句对仗，更是表现出有情人之间依依不舍的至文妙语。以后贯云石有《红绣鞋·欢情》：“挨着靠着云窗同坐，偎着抱着月枕双歌，听着数着愁着怕着早四更过。四更过情未足，情未足夜如梭。天哪更闰一更儿妨什么。”末句颇为人称道，殊不知实是该曲开了先河。

徐琰（约1220～1301年），字子方（一作子芳），号容斋，一号养斋，又自号汶叟，东平（今属山东省）人。元代官员、文学家，“东平四杰”之一。少有文才，曾肆业于东平府学。元代东平府学宋子贞作新庙学，请前进士康晔、王磐为教官，教授生徒几百人，培养的闫复、徐琰、孟祺、李谦等号称元“东平四杰”，学成入仕后，皆为元初名宦。
