望海楼晚景五绝译文及注释
译文
海上波涛初来时像一条白线，转眼在望海楼前就变成雪堆一样了。
如今潮水翻涌向上你也要再上层楼，再来观看白浪形成的银山，看它二十回也不嫌多。
大风吹打雨水斜着飘进望海楼，壮丽的景观应该用华美的辞句来夸赞。
风雨过后潮水平静江海碧澄，时时闪过的电光形成紫金般的龙蛇。
青山断开的地方有层层的塔，隔条江水想要回应对岸人家的呼唤。
傍晚，江上的秋风吹得很急切，为的是把钟鼓的声音传到西兴。
夜晚，谁家在望海楼下点燃炉香，玉笙哀怨的的乐曲在刚刚有凉意的时候响起。
有位客人面对秋风在扇子上题诗，祭拜明月让人无法看见你的晚妆。
沙河上的船灯将山照红，歌声鼓声在笑语中喧响。
问一问少年的心思在哪里，只见他方巾斜在一旁以致头发散乱。
注释
⑴望海楼：又名望潮楼，在杭州凤凰山上，是杭州的名迹。
⑵指顾：即指点顾盼之间，形容其快。犹如说须臾、一会儿。这两句写海潮来势凶猛。
⑶二十：一本作“十二”。
⑷时：时时。掣（chè）：拉，拽。紫金蛇：形容闪电的形状和色彩。
⑸西兴：即西陵，在杭州对岸萧山区境内，相传为越国范蠡屯兵之处。

望海楼晚景五绝创作背景
这组诗共五首，作于北宋熙宁五年（1072年），当时苏轼被派往杭州担任州试的监试。院试余暇，苏轼得以到凤凰山上的望海楼闲坐，写下这五首诗。

望海楼晚景五绝鉴赏
这组诗分别咏江潮、雨电、秋风、雅客、江景，五首各具情韵。其中第二首（“横风吹雨入楼斜”）曾作为诗歌鉴赏题的材料出现在2011年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试湖北卷的语文试题中。
有人认为，苏轼诗中的“横风”、“壮观”（“观”在这里读第四声，不读第一声）两句，写得不够好。他既说“应须好句夸”，却不着一字，一转便转入“雨过潮平”了。那样就是大话说过，没有下文。
这话虽说不无道理，但苏轼这样写，自是另有原因。第一，他是要写一组望海楼晚景的诗，眼下还不想腾出笔墨来专写忽来忽去的横风横雨。所以他只说“应须”，是留以有待的意思。第二，既然说得上“壮观”，就须有相应的笔墨着力描写，老把它放在“晚景”组诗中，是不太合适的，不好安排。
苏轼写下这组诗后的第二年，他游览了有美堂，适逢暴雨，就立即写了《有美堂暴雨》七律一篇，奇句惊人，是一首名作。应了他那“壮观应须好句夸”的话了。
其实在这首诗中，他的思想有过一段起伏变化。在开头，他看到一阵横风横雨，直扑进望海楼来，很有一股气势，使他陡然产生要拿出好句来夸一夸这种“壮观”的想法，不料这场大雨，来得既急，去得也块，一眨眼间，风已静了，雨也停了。就好像演戏拉开帷幕之时，大锣大鼓，敲得震天价响，大家以为下面定有一场好戏，谁知演员还没登场，帷幕便又落下，毫无声息了。弄得大家白喝了彩。苏轼这开头两句，正是写出人们（包括诗人在内）白喝了一通彩的神情。
雨过以后，向楼外一望，天色暗下来了，潮水稳定地慢慢向上涨，钱塘江浩阔如海，一望如碧玉似的颜色。远处还有几朵雨云未散，不时闪出电光，在天空里划着，就像时隐时现的紫金蛇。
这首诗写的就是这样一幅望海楼的晚景。开头时气势很猛，好像很有一番热闹，转眼间却是雨收云散，海阔天肯，变幻得使人目瞪口呆。其实不止自然界是这祥，人世间的事情，往往也是如此的。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
