译文
辽东一带九月时节芦叶将断，辽东地方小孩儿们采制芦管。
新制芦管声音清悲多么动听，一支曲于随着风儿飘满海边。
海边一带树木凋零天已下霜，吹起芦管声音嘹亮月色苍苍；
白狠河北戍边士卒更添愁恨，玄兔城南离乡人儿都要断肠。
辽东将军长安宅中宾客云集，让那美女手持芦管吹起乐曲，
欢奏芦管调儿啾飕胜过洞箫，曲子声卢多么幽远赛过横笛。
半夜时分大堂之上宾客来说，只将芦管声声吹起把酒相劝，
声音精巧惊动路旁丝丝杨柳，又似梅花朵朵飘下落向后园。
座上客人爱听管瞥不愿离去，高卷珠帘遍插红烛再整酒席；
辽东将军乘醉起舞不肯罢休，吩咐美女捧起芦管再吹一曲。
注释
⑴裴将军：指镇守辽东的裴姓将军。芦管：北方少数民族管乐器，截芦苇管制成，类于筚篥。
⑵辽东：辽水之东。今辽宁南部辽河以东地区。芦叶断：芦叶垂条，长势正旺，已到了可摘芦管之时。
⑶可怜：可爱。
⑷海头：辽东近海，故有此称。
⑸海树：海边树木。萧索：萧条。雨：动词，降下。
⑹苍苍：指月色苍茫。
⑺白狼：白狼河，今辽宁大凌河。
⑻玄兔：又玄菟，东汉有玄菟郡，在今沈阳市东。
⑼辽东将军：指裴将军。
⑽弄调：调拨、演奏。啾飕（jiū sōu）：象声词，指芦管之声。洞箫：即排箫，又名参差，由长短不一的竹管编排而成。
⑾窈窕：本指女子姿态之美，此处用以形容芦管之声优美动听。欺：压，胜。
⑿杨柳、落梅：这里均含双关义，既指现实的杨柳、梅花，又指《折杨柳》《落梅花》这两文古乐曲。《乐府诗集》横吹曲辞中有《折杨柳》《落梅花》，皆笛中曲子，常用以抒写伤春悲离之情。
⒀珠帘：嵌有珠子的帘子。

裴将军宅芦管歌创作背景
据《岑诗系年》，这首诗作于乾元年间（765～766），时岑参任右补阙。一日参加一裴姓将军的酒筵，欣赏了芦管演奏而作此诗。

诗的开头四句写芦管的产地及其声音特色。前两句在点明芦管来历的同时，勾划出九月深秋、芦叶遍地、辽东小儿采芦管的风俗画；后两句则写芦管声的清悲，并以“风飘海头满”来加以渲染；芦管的清悲，透露出边地的凄清和悲凉，以苍凉气氛引起全诗。诗的次四句承开头继续写芦管声音的凄清悲凉。前两句用萧索的海树、下霜的天空和苍苍的月色构成凄凉的边地景象来衬托芦管声调的凄清悲凉，后两句则又以远离乡土、久戍边地的士卒们的心情来陪衬芦管声调的凄清悲凉。以上八句通过边地景物的烘托，人物心情的陪衬来写芦管声调“清且悲”的特色。
以下十二句写裴将军宅中酒宴之间吹奏芦管。前四句先点出“辽东将军长安宅”这一地点及高堂美女、佳宾满座的环境，然后以“啾飕”、“窈窕”形容芦管声调之美妙，井与洞箫、横笛比较来突出其美妙。宴中之人只觉其动听，而不觉其清悲，与上文比较，已另是一副笔调。次四句接上文仍以时间为线索，进一步描绘芦管声调之巧：不仅使《折杨柳》、《落梅花》等名曲为之逊色，而且使陌上杨柳、园中梅花为之惊动，诗人巧妙地运用双关手法，把对曲调的描写与对景物的想象结合起来，既构成优美的意境，又突出了芦管曲调的无与伦比。诗的最后四句仍以时间为线索，写更阑人静，而宾主都没满足，在人们的这种反映中进一步突出芦管音调之动人。芦管在无休无止地吹下去，诗歌也就在这种无休无止的芦管声调中结束。
这首诗写芦管，分两方面来写。前幅八句与的是海树萧条、严霜满天、月色苍苍那样一个边地环境中的芦管声，其声凄清悲凉，传达的是戍边战士的忧愁；后幅十二句写的是珠帘高卷、红烛罗列、佳宾满座那样一个将军宅地中的芦管声，其声美妙精巧，传达的是将军高官们的欢娱。辽东戍边是无止无休的，宅中酒宴也是无止无体的，二者通过“芦管”贯穿起来而又在客观上形成鲜明对照。辽东将军而于长安宅中作乐，洞箫、横笛听得腻了，边地的芦管便成了他们最为新巧别致的助酒之物，讽刺之意是富于笔端的。这首诗前半写芦管声，而以边地景物来烘托，以言其“清且悲”；后半写芦管声，而以“会佳客”、“客未回”、“听未足”为线索，以芦管与箫、笛之类乐器，与《折杨柳》、《落梅花》之类乐曲比较并以对景物的想象来渲染，以言其“窈窕”精巧，手法是很高明的。全诗深宏阔大，波澜起伏，意境深远苍凉与清幽婉秀叠用交错。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
