彭蠡古来险，汤汤贯侯卫。
源长云共浮，望极天无际。
传闻五月交，兹时一阴至。
飓风生海隅，馀力千里曀。
万竅争怒号，惊涛得狂势。
涌恐楚山拔，声疑夏鼎沸。
妖蜃吐浓烟，层台夸壮丽。
奔雷鸣大车，连鼓声粗厉。
岂诚阴阳争，长忧天地闭。
孤舟一叶轻，飘如斿在缀。
所以泝沿人，未尝贪既济。
逆犹上坂丸，顺比飞鸿翅。
直待浮云收，乾坤廓然霁。
湖光百里平，波色连天翠。
然后榜兰桡，以避蛟龙害。
进退甘迟留，克保无祇悔。
我愿修身者，体此操舟态。
动静惟时几，畏慎存织芥。
跬足虽平易，尽心防暧昧。
长如履险时，终身不危殆。

（1000—1064）韶州曲江人，初名希古，字安道。仁宗天圣二年进士。累迁集贤校理，以谏罢范仲淹事被贬监筠州酒税。庆历中为右正言，支持新政。使契丹，还任知制诰、史馆修撰。再使契丹，以习契丹语被责，复遭茹孝标中伤，遂弃官返乡。皇祐四年起知桂州，经制广南东西路贼盗。寻又助狄青平定侬智高，留广西处置善后事宜。加集贤院学士，徙潭、青州。嘉祐间交阯进扰，任广西体量安抚使。后以尚书左丞知广州。有《武溪集》。
