正统十四年，秋七月甲午，皇帝提大兵，亲行讨北虏。
其晨日旁气，中黑外如火。
北风转旗脚，猎猎不停舞。
此行为宗社，仓卒出未预。
虏人方恃骄，况复值秋暑。
文臣虽表留，奏上不蒙可。
留之恨不力，苟力必中阻。
小臣从百官，拜送伏道左。
悬绝不得言，徒有泪如雨。
前驱至榆河，营垒乱旗橹。
后队复踉跄，不复辨什伍。
挽车避泥潦，前后相接轲。
裸身走中道，车驾从傍过。
纷纭无纪律，将臣殊莽卤。
既蹈不测渊，可不严为矩。
忆昔虏单弱，款附来塞下。
岁贡马万疋，未敢设钩距。
皇眷来意勤，赏赍特过厚。
一时失防隙，遂得肆强圉。
毡衣易龙锦，皮帽变珠朵。
束腰金匾绦，编贝五色缕。
玉剑悬辘轳，雕弓插文笴。
黄沙白草间，金银耀樽俎。
鞍鞯画麒麟，旌旗绣飞虎。
供具与乐器，事事无不有。
一年复一年，屡有望外取。
岂但不知感，其心竟包祸。
勾连并众力，绐以骄诸部。
罕东兀良哈，久矣被饮羽。
迩来虽纳贡，其意则狎侮。
吾皇天地量，垢秽悉容受。
今来犯我疆，我往非过举。
剿此违天贼，岂为拓疆土。
戎狄无人性，尧舜不亲附。
秦有长城筑，汉有和亲许。
云扰东西晋，厥后极凶丑。
李唐纳婚姻，石晋甘饵诱。
宋初论金币，中败青城旅。
分裂已不堪，未复遭蒙古。
历年九十三，夷风洽华夏。
乾坤合清宁，笃生我太祖。
圣德克肖天，飞龙起淮右。
长驱扫腥毡，直出古北口。
净洗历代羞，日月开天宇。
太宗龙凤姿，丕承奋英武。
天戈时一指，残孽窜他所。
漠南无王庭，漠北走穷狗。
于今已不然，信非朝夕故。
必欲罗奔鲸，在众密网罟。
胡乃劳圣躬，执政何以处。
臣闻千金子，尚不垂堂坐。
虏罪诚可诛，持重慎勿苟。
稽首早回銮，天位要有主。
钦哉祖宗业，正拟磐石固。

苏州府长洲人，字原博。祖、父皆以医得官。宣德初，以善医授惠州局副使。后调太医院吏目。博通经史，精天文律历之学，亦善画工诗，与晏铎、王淮、汤胤绩、苏平、邹亮、蒋忠等号“景泰十才子”，常被推为盟主。有《草窗集》。
