先皇简练百万兵，十二连营镇京观。团营十万更精猛，呜呼耗减今无半。
昨传胡入白杨城，有敕点选营中兵。军中壮丁百不一，部遣老小从征行。
自从御马还内厩，私家马肥官马瘦。富豪输钱脱籍伍，贫者驱之充介冑。
京师土木岁未已，一身百役无不受。禁垣西开镇国府，内营昼夜罗金鼓。
四家骁健三千人，出入扈从围龙虎。边头城堑谁营屯，遂使犬羊窥北门。
天清野旷恣剽掠，百里之内烟尘昏。肉食者谋无远虑，仓皇调发纡皇顾。
即今宣府大失利，杀将覆军不知数。辽东兵马久已疲，朵颜反复非前时。
又闻迤北外连结，朝廷坐失东藩篱。往时京边士，苦乐今顿异。
且如私门卒，食粮日高坐。此兵昨一出，见者泪交堕。
从今荷殳趋战场，身上无衣腹饥饿。君不见府中搥牛宰羊猪，穿域蹋鞠行吹竽。
高马肥肉留京都，可怜此兵西击胡。

何景明（1483～1521）字仲默，号白坡，又号大复山人，信阳浉河区人。明弘治十五年(1502)进士，授中书舍人。正德初，宦官刘瑾擅权，何景明谢病归。刘瑾诛，官复原职。官至陕西提学副使。为“前七子”之一，与李梦阳并称文坛领袖。其诗取法汉唐，一些诗作颇有现实内容。有《大复集》。
